Nice and green Zoo. Green means that almost all year round there is everywhere green grass, and green trees. Pleasant surroundings and a variety of animals.
Nice place to have a visit, big variety of animals, very nice place for them (not like Beograd) worth 2 hours of your vacation to have a look, you wont be dissapointed.
more beauty then in Belgrade, quite, calm place, animals have more space than in Belgrade. It ideal oportunity to visit Marahalom or Kanjiza and relax in termal water.
Very neat ZOO, maintained with love. Animals have a lot of space, which is tailored to their needs. This zoo is constantly renewed and expanded. Feeding animals, especially seals, is turned into a real circus show. If you come at the right time, friendly staff will allow you to put a snake around your neck or to fondle the giant cockroaches...
Really nice morning outing for the kids, had a playground for our rest, a good variety of animals, not too big so the kids didn't get too tired.
Exceeded all expectaions! We were going to go there and spend some time to keep the kids amused, but we ended up staying for two hours. It is very large, and it actually needs time to go around if you want to see all the animals. Truth be told, there is not a great variety of animals to see, but the exibition is set up in a way that will enhance the experience you have. Large part of the animals are not in cages, but are surroanded by a natural border, and you feel like you are walking in the jungle with them (for example, all the monkeys are suroanded by water, so they cannot cross over. There is also a bridge over a large area where you can walk and see the deers and storks and a lot of other spicies. Truth be told, the back side of the Zoo has not been renovated yet and it looks a little old, but it doesn't really affect the total experience. There is also a park with swings and kids toys to take a break. Keep in mind that there is nothing to eat inside the premises, and the beverages are overpriced.
We were really surprised how many animals are in this ZOO. We thought it is smaller. It is nice and very well maintained. And a lot of big animals, too.
Ok so there's no denying some of the enclosures are far too small - in particular the polar bear, lions, tigers and seals - but the animals are well cared for and the place has a great feel. The flip side of small enclosures - leaving out the ethical rights and wrongs - is that you get to see all the animals up close and it does make for a great visitor experience. Coming from Melbourne we are quite used to visiting the zoo and not being able to see the animals who are hiding away in a far corner of their gigantic enclosure. Does this help with conservation of their species? I'm not sure. There was no food available so make sure you eat before you go, and there is only one toilet block inside. The entry fee was extremely reasonable (1,000 dinar for a family of 4), I think they should increase it to help with their enclosure rebuilds (and a few donation boxes in front of the smallest enclosures might help too!).The gardens are absolutely beautiful and are to be enjoyed as much if not more than the animals.
This place was awful, animals like the lions or even the bulls needs to be feeded more often. The cages are too small, the place is DIRTY and some cages were like a prision for some animals. They can charge a higher fee if they cannot get anymore help for the animals, that might help. Ugly and sad.
I don't like zoos. They are animal prisons. But prisons differ. They can be horrible places where inhabitants are exposed to torture or they can be golden cages. Palic zoo is a golden cage, at least for the most of animals. This is a clean, spacious, well organized and good located zoo. It is placed in the quiet place, out of the city noise, near the big, wooded park and Palic lake. Animals are not only fed and cared of, but also entertained, cuddled and trained. Staff is very gentle to their animals and the animals love them. That's good to see.Big cats, wolves and foxes lack of space. They live in extremely small habitats having in mind their size and nature. A tiger makes one circle around the cage in less than 2 minutes. And the cage is shared by two.Other animals live in more spacious surroundings. A seal for example has comfortable and interesting pool with toys and an island, and a hawk has giant cage, wide and high.A zoo has an excellent maintenance. Everything is clean - from cages and animal habitats to visitors' paths and grass areas, all enriched with interesting decorations like the copy of prehistoric cave, fountains, murals, mini gardens and animal-like sculptures. It's a big zoo. You will need good three hours if you want to see it all and without rush. All kind of animals can be seen. And the price is very law - about 2 € per person.I live in Belgrade. Belgrade zoo should learn about the human treatment of the zoo animals and the zoo management from their colleagues from Palic.
Clean, big this bottanical and animal garden provides quality spent time. Animals live in natural habitats, stuff is friendly and ready to help. Interesting space around animal, for example cave from where you can observe brown bear.
Upon entry we received a map and information about the zoo. Well worth the visit; there are so many different animals to see, and the grounds are well maintained and rubbish free. Very enjoyable.
The Zoo is very nice. It has a good variety of animals. Most of the animals live in good conditions with a few excerptions (lynx could have a bigger cage as well as other wild cats, polar bear and some more). Grounds are well maintained, there are few fountains and lots of grass and tries.
Lots of animals, and a very large area. Nice to spend an afternoon at. Try not to visit it when it's 40 degrees Celsius like I did. I almost melted.
if you have time please take at least two hours in this beautiful zoo, there is a great variety of animals and gardens are excellent.
