The place is near the Larnaca - Paphos highway, easy to access and visit. It's impressive to see history at its best and oldest but the amount of information available at the site is much less than needed and expected.Assuming you get someone to tell you about the place I am sure it is fascinating, if not.... pretty difficult.Nevertheless, it's worth a trip.

the website makes it loo a lot bigger than it is, there is a lot of steep steps to climb to view what looks like a lot of stones in circle patterns. We went as a day trip but after less than an hour had seen it all and it was time to move on. Disappointed.

9000 thousand years of history in this very interesting village. Very well presented with reconstructed houses to give a real feel of life so long ago. Excavations continuing.

It is certainly worth to see any archaeological sites and ruins however this place does make a history lover disappointed due to the lack of information and setting of how the ruins have been preserved.

One of top places to visit in Cyprus. A place where people had lived nine thousand years ago. Difficult to imagine. And we can still see this. Easy to find, good pathways inside. But not for disabled people...

It should be great (UNESCO site, old but well conserved...)... but it's not : difficuld to find, badly explained. There are so many things to do to enhance the site !

This place is really amazing when you think how old it is, they have done a good job of replicating some of the tiny round dwelling so you can really appreciate how they were built. It is quite a climb to the actual settlement area and not really suitable access for disabled people ( none that we could see) they are still excavating the site so no doubt more information will emerge over time. The plaques on the way up provide interesting facts of how the people lived. I would advise visiting early in the day or later in the afternoon not at midday as we did..... What is it they say about mad dogs and English men !

The site is not very impressive but if its antiquity is considered is worth a little excursion and takes no more than an hour to see. The reconstruction helps you imagine the village.

Couldn't believe such sophisticated building and cultural skills were possible 7000 yrs ago. Well worth a look

In here, we saw the residential area about nine thousand ago and a lot of circles made by stones. However, it was not easy for my wife and myself to get impressed with those views even though we knew they were created such a long time ago and it is registerd in world heritage. They were just stones arranged as small circles for us. To enjoy this site, at least, the visitor should not visit Stonehenge in UK prior to here, which is much more big and much more mysterious atmosphere.

Visited on the way from Larnaca to Limossol - not far from the main highway. Entrance fee very reasonable. Reconstructions of the houses really made the site come to life. 10 year old daughter not as interested in the excavations as the adults but the site isn't massive. Lizard-spotting was an added attraction! As mentioned by others, it is on a hillside, with steps. Avoid visiting in the middle of the day since there is no shade. Toilets are available (and clean).

Walk up the stairs and you are into another world dating more than 8,000 years . Admire how they managed at that time without mobiles, GPS and all the goodies that we have today. Do not miss it, it is right on the excellent A1 highway from Nicosia to Limassol about 45 minutes each way. Also enjoy a local tasty dish at the many tavernas near by. Evenmore, the actual village is only about a kilometre up the road for a stroll in its narrow rebuilt paved streets.

A lot of walking up stairs, so not advised if you have very small children, unless you do not mind carrying them. Otherwise, the entrance fee is more than reasonable and really worth it. It is so fascinating, with boards highlighting the significance of each area. It is not fanciful or boastful, just what it is and what they have excavated. It is wonderful to be walking where others have so many thousands of years ago and interesting to imagine how the landscape has changed and what life might have really been like for them at the time. Worth more than one visit.
