I have been here many times. It's always a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. There is a small restaurant that serves snacks and drinks and ice cream when you want a little rest from a refreshing walk in the forest. I love Feldkirch for its many wooded areas close to the town. The Wildpark is such an area and you can spend several hours meandering all over. The park includes a playground for children. My only problem with the Wildpark is that the animals are all fenced in. And their pens are simply too small. There are wolves, magnificent alpine ibex, several lynx, eagles, snow rabbits, great big antlered deer, wild pigs, and you can see them all because their habitats are not large enough for them to hide too long. Still, I love the park, the trees, and the general ordered wilderness of the era. It's well worth a visit.
This place is nice to take a walk in and the animals seem happy. But space is limited for some species which makes it a little gloomy. Great for the kids if you just kind of walk all through to the end to finish at playground with some seating facilities for a picknick.
A pleasant walk in the woods with the opportunity to view wildlife from the general area. Includes a small cafe and play areas for children.
Beautiful little zoo located at the top of a hill. Animals have space to roam, and the wilderness is lovely.
I recently went to Feldkirch with a friend and took a leisurely walk through the place. The park is really beautiful and quiet and the animals look healthy and happy. Being in March there were not many people around so it was much nicer. We rested here after our walk with snacks and water.
Nice and quiet place to visit, especially with kids. Interesting local animals, nice little play grounds in the shadow. Great spot to cool down from the hot Austrian summers. A little snack bar to have some drinks or eat a little something. Was there in 1963 mainly red and Ibex, live today in the park about 160 animals of 18 differentindigenous or native species gewesenen belong. From deer available via stone deer to wild boar,Lynxes, wolves, eagles or mountain hares.
a wonderful family place. the animals are happy, except for the homeless owls, Markus, Martin and Helmut, the resident solicitors. The wolves are positively wolfish. One of the wildcats hides in the central bush of its enclosure, the other paces around it endlessly.
Nice and quiet place to visit, especially with kids. Interessing local animals, nice little play grounds in the shadow. Great spot to cool down from the hot Austrian summers. A little snack bar to have some drinks or eat a little something.
Excellent place to go. Woods, nature.. Awesome. I got to see some rare European animals, like a wild cat, a lynx, deers, and two black wolves.. It was the best part of my trip to Feldkirch. :D
We took a chance and went to the Wildpark late in the day. We needn't have worried, since it is evidently open all night!! First time we have been to a zoo that was open for strolling and animal viewing and never encountered a staff member! The animals displayed are few in variety, but being there about 9:00, near sunset, we saw many animals that likely sleep in the shade during the day. Most are local wildlife, the "pens" are large, and it was a delight to stroll around. One can walk back to one's car through the woods, still adorned with a variety of trees, hazelnuts, mushrooms, etc.
sweet family place high above the vale - a lats remnant of what wildlife once was in the area - a refuge for hurt eagles, owly owls, hungry hounds, red deers - and a petting zoo style farm animal collection
Ich gehe immer wieder gerne hier her.
