This is a beautiful plan. You don't need to take too much time from entry to water fall. Different views can be seen along the streams of an entry trail, valley central, to the final waterfall. Those are worth staying to take pictures. It is suitable for the first day of travel. Walking up a hill, stream a sweat, remove because the time difference discomfort caused by. The Gasthaus Liechtensteinklamm restaurant worths recommending. You can eat grilled trout and apple pie.

Even though this attraction is closed during winter the various walks to reach it through the forest and along the mountain stream are well worth it.

Whilst the walk up the gorge (c 700m) it is a little taxing, involving >100 steps and quite steep in places, it is an interesting and pleasant walk. Only €4.50 and took us 20 mins up from the Kasse.A couple of cafe/restaurants and gift shop near the entrance are a nice diversion. There are 4 car parks, none of which were full when we visited in a motorhome in mid September: plenty of room to turn around anyway.Quite dark, damp and cool in the gorge, so take at least one extra layer.

Free parking but you have to pay the entrance which I think 10Euros ? hmm anyway, if you buy a salzburg pass will be free when we visited it was on Sept 23 and the weather is really excellent, overcast and sometimes drizzle nad it's manageable to get to the falls you have to have a good walking shoes, uphill walking and little bit wet, so be careful, and if you are a nature loving person, you will definitely love this place, I would reccomend a car rental to go around, for 9 days tour that includes salzburg, and the sorrounding tourist locations , and the vienna area , car rental is highly recommended, oh btw, if you like fish, try the mountain trout grilled or fried it is delicious.bring a light jacket it gets cold when you get closer to the falls.

Pretty cool natural setting. It is worth the drive and the walk up to the top of the trail. The passage is very dark - in fact, a tunnel in certain stretches - and very narrow - basically one-way at times - and pretty steep and kinda slippery so wear good shoes and bring a sweater even if it is warm outside.Parking goes up higher than you might think so don't take the first parking lot but go all the way to the end. Don't worry they park the big buses all the way at the end so you can turn around if there are no spaces.

Loved this site....fabulous spectacle of narrow gorge, roaring river & waterfall. With a very safe walkway & bridged. Suit most ages & abilities, although there are steep stairs at the end to reach the waterfall. It was very busy when we were there, but still managed some great photos. Go early as there is quite a wait, not because of numbers, but it seems to take a long time processing those numbers through the turnstiles.Very good tourist shop at the end, found some great Tyrol hats & glass earrings for gifts to take home.

Amazing experience. Breathtaking views, safe walkways for the family, and trip is rewarded at the end with a killer view of the gorge waterfall. Not to be missed!

The place is very well preserved. The trail itself is very safe. Excellent for families with small children. The roar of the water is all over. The views and scenery are amazing.

A beautiful spot with breath taking views. Easy access if you are walking. Several places to stop for a bite.

The walk to the end of the klamm and back is about 1.5 hours or 1.5 km each way. The way is not that easy with a lot of stairs but still it's worth the visit. All the way is bridges made of wood and it's very beautiful.

I think this cost about €5 per person and was one of the most beautiful and unique places we saw on our short trip to Austria. Highly recommend visiting.

Decided to pop by as I was staying in the nearby town. Easy to find and well sign posted, lots of parking all for free. Cost between 3-5 euros per person. Good easy climb to the top, traversing the river, crossing backards and forwards. Quite slippy and wet in places, so advisable to wear decent shoes but not necessary. Takes about 25 minutes to reach the top. Impressive waterfall at the top. Lovely walks in the woods nearby too. Couple of restaurants at the bottom, well priced with typical Austrian/Bavarian food. Certainly worth the walk and effort!

During a week in the area this was the most crowded attraction we visited in - that's the only negative thing I have about this place. The gorge is very beautiful. You can walk there easily with small kids.If you take it very slowly it takes about 2-3 hours in total.

beautiful gorge with a very nice waterfall at the end of the trailrequires about 1-1.5 hours of easy hike in total.it was very crowded when I visited there so probably is best to arrive early before all tourist busses arrive.

This place is beautiful! It is an easy walk, and was really enjoyable, but we went in at about 9:00 and got out right as the hordes and tour buses started showing up, around 10:30 or 11:00. We were glad we did it that way, because, since the narrow walkway is both the way in and the only way out, I was wondering how on Earth that many people were going to squeeze past each other in the gorge. Didn't try the restaurant but it looked a bit small for the number of people they apparently get in there. I saw somebody walking in with a stroller, but don't know what they were thinking - it is all narrow stairs, ramps, and tunnels, so I wouldn't recommend a stroller, wheelchair, crutches, etc. Our 5-year old could do it, but the (already sleepy) 4-year old got worn out halfway through.
