Rich is a legend !! He gave me confidence whenever I was panicking or felt uneasy. He honestly made the whole experience so enjoyable and really interesting. I was hard work but he was always very patient with me. Rich became a good friend too:) don't think twice its an opportunity of a lifetime with this guy!!!

I can't thank Rich Keaney the dive master at the rock for teaching me to scuba dive enough for helping me achieve my open water paid qualification. He was patient, kind, and a lot of fun which was great but also he made all the theory clear to learn and I found that he made the skills easy to grasp and practise whilst building my confidence. I have always wanted to learn to dive and he made sure I was able to, being flexible around my sometimes awkward working times. The dive site was great, I saw different things every time, but best of all was the opportunity to night dive which was amazing!! I totally recommend anyone to give diving a go, especially with Rich as he is all you could wish for in a teacher! Thank you so much again Rich, it was an incredible experience, you have introduced me to a whole other world!!

I would highly recommend diving at Portomyrina Palace and especially with diving instructor Richard Keaney. As a complete novice to diving I found Rich to be a brilliant teacher, his instruction was clear and precise and within the 1st lesson I knew I was in good hands with a person I could trust. Not only were the diving lessons interesting and challenging but were also great fun! I thank Rich for the time spent with me and helping me personally achieve my PADI Open Water Certificate. Considering I was pretty nervous at the beginning on my Padi course, Rich made everything so much easier and was really patient. By the time the last open water came along I didn't want to get out the sea! Amazing sights, would 100% recommend and can't wait toReturn and Do the advanced course. Yay Rich! I could not give enough thanks to Rich Keaney (Dive Master at the Black Rock Centre)! Throughout my entire course, he was always providing me with full support and helping me to build my confidence in the water. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and literally swimming with the fishes was amazing! The dive sight itself is perfect as well for both beginners and qualified divers. Would recommend to anybody! I can't wait to get out in the water again!!

I can't recommend the guys at Black Rock highly enough, Rich Keaney made everything easy, knowledgable and most of all fun. Completing my open water certificate is something I have always wanted to do and to dive with these guys was an honour it has given me a taste for diving and i can't wait for the next opportunity. The dive site is great loads to see and fantastic visibility, a personal highlight was completing a night dive, a daunting task but a unforgettable experience that Howard made simple, safe and the highlight to cap of my diving experience . If you are contemplating diving with these guys for me its a no brainer! Thanks again to Rich and Howard for all their time and teaching efforts. I hope to dive with you again soon.

Having never scuba dived before and being quite hesitant at first, Rich K was amazing!Friendly, kind, supportive and patient throughout!I'd recommend to anyone!

For someone whose only phobias are claustrophobia and open water it seemed like a mile high hurdle to jump to get my PADI certificate. All credit goes to Richard Keaney (DiveMaster on Resort) who calmy talked me through all skills and practices thoroughly and got me in the water. I can honestly say it's been one of the best adventures I've taken and without doubt the Night Dive we undertook was the highlight of my travelling. I wanted to stay in the water for hours!! Whilst holidaying at the Neilson resort, I thought I'd do a dive "because it was there". I wasn't expecting too see much on the dive but was pleasantly surprised. We saw Octopuses/Octopi, scorpionfish, nudibranchs, bristleworms, a moray eel and plenty of different fish. The dive site was superb one of the safest and easiest I've experienced, just a short walk from the dive centre and a short swim from the shore. Although I only did one guided dive this would be a great place to get your Padi open water or advanced qualifications. The staff were excellent, clearly knew their stuff but were relaxed and made all aspects of the dive a pleasure.

Our two teenaged boys (17 and 14) both wanted to try diving on holiday at Portomyrina Palace with Neilson. The older one did the intro course, then a day course, then another dive, while the younger just did the taster intro.Both loved it and want to do more. Very professional and friendly. Rich and Howard were excellent- would highly recommend.

passed my PADI open water course with black rock at portomyrina palace on lemnos. rich and howard really know their stuff and passed on so much to all of us in the course, huge smiles all round and cant wait to keep diving. they gave me great confidence in something i was rather apprehensive about, top guys!

I did the open water course from May to June, it was one of the best experiences of my life, rich is a world class diver and dive instructor, his passion for teaching is very easily noticed, his patience and knowledge makes the course allThat more enjoyable, I would reccomend anyone to do it, in 4 weeks I went from a total beginner, to someone who is confident diving all the time, thanks for an awesome time rich!.

Thanks to Howard for 2 great dives. It was the first time we'd been in the water since having our little boy and what a great reintroduction to the underwater world. Howard was a great guide and we were treated to a fantastic array of damsel fish reminding us just how much we'd missed our dives. Small groups well organised, kit was great, Howard and Richie even better and a wonderful experience with Black Rock all round. Many thanks indeed we hope to come back soon. Abbie and James

As experienced divers who have dived in many exotic places we weren't expecting so much life just off shore. A truly wonderful dive with fantastic visibility, shoals of damsel fish, octopus, eels and assortment of small fish, fantastic colours. Having just spent a week at Portomyrina I can't recommend the dive centre highly enough.Professional, knowledgable and very friendly instructors. Outstanding knowledge of the local dive sites and wild life. And most importantly the dives I did were just stunning with a huge range of underwater life and crystal clear waters.I will definitely be returning later this year to dive again
