Well presented. Centre in general very well laid out. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about the exhibits. Several of the exhibits are working models which make them interesting to young children.

An excellent modern museum about forgotten activities. It is located in a very beautiful and green surrounding area near the village of Dimitsana. It is worth the time to visit it, even for just coffee!Kids will love it, grown-ups will find it fascinating.

This museum is fascinating. It is set on a stream which rushes down to the gorge below and shows how the water was used to mill grain, tan leather and grind gunpowder. The whole process of each is explained and they have working machinery there as well. Children would probably like it too.

Outdoor water power museum. You can walk through various stages of how water power was used in the past and continue your tour all the way to the river.

Demonstration of the water power used by human. Nothing special for adults. maybe for young children.Don't waste your time.

Well presented examples of how water was used to fuel cottage industries in days gone by. Supplemented by good videos explaining the ins and outs of milling, tanning and gun powder production all set into the historical context of how folk lived their lives and sort freedom.

This museum is worth well a visit if you want to know more about the use of water power in this part of Greece in the past. The use of waterpower as thriving force for mills in various ways of usage is well displayed and shown in video's which are subtitled in English, but most of all: can be seen in real! This makes it a living museum. The explanation of the mills, the tanning process, the making of gunpowder is well documented and very educative. Take an hour and a half to adopt this part of Greeks recent history.

This museum provides an excellent account of how these water powered machines were used and the history behind them. The audio-visual material is very interesting to watch!

Even if you are not the museum type you will like this one! An open air museum in a very green area, a walk through nature in order to discover the different parts, housed in the restored remainings of mills. There are short videos on leather tanning, gunpowder mill, etc. There is also a trail down to the gorge.

created by restoration of abandoned pre-industrial facilities it is based on the Water Power. It includes a flour mill, a traditional cauldron, a tannery, a tanner's house and a gunpowder mill.

Nice unexpected find.Came to Dimitsana as an in-between point for visiting Ancient Olympia.Came here to burn some time. Very well constructed museum with some interesting information. Really enjoyed the leather tanning exhibit/video. A few good trails leading out of the museum down into the gorge.Worth a visit, even if brief.

The place has been very well restored. You can see and easily understand the purpose of all the rooms where various works took place. The surroundings are nice for a little walk as well.

Dimitsana isn't the easiest place to get to, but the museum was worth the drive. My daughter 14, after several days of ruins, really enjoyed the functional museum whichwas something she could more than relate too.I enjoyed the tannery and gun powder mills. The videos were both in greek and subtitled in english and all of the poster boards where in greek and english as well.It does a very good job of explaining the importance and lifestyle of the village of Dimitsana in past centuries. For as long a drive off the beaten path, it could have had a few more things to see and do, but it was still all very worthwhile.
