relaxing, quiet and the most beautiful view towards Pylos. you can go for great walks or just relax and enjoy the view. gialova with its trendy bars and restaurants is near or the more pictoresk Pylos

a long beach with only a few sunbeds, perfect. the water was clear if a little cold, quiet in september

Miles of sandy beach on the perimeter of Navarino Bay. Safe swimming in beautiful clear water ideal for youngsters and adults alike. Beautiful views across to Pylos with the occasional added benefit of yachts anchored off shore to enhance the scene. Reasonable beach bar with grumpy staff selling beers and average sandwiches. Not a patch on the previous lessee's who reall y cared and provide great service and quality items.Interesting conservation area directly behind the beach well worth a walk. Avoid weekends as extremely busy

We visited golden beach in the beginning of May. However it is a beautiful bay the bay was full of cane and dirt. The jetty was broken down, the beachbar we read about was gone, no. sunbeds anymore etc We wonder if they will clean up the beach before highseason starts. But in May you can better avoid this beach.

Wonderful, always calm, huge sandy beach, plenty parking space. The best area of the beach stays towards the far end, this is a partially nudist beach and women (non nudist) usually swim topless

Clean sand, clear, calm sea (nicely sheltered). No tavernas or sunbeds so you might need your own parasol!

A swim in luke warm crystal blue waters with ancient ruins in the backdrop makes for a great photo shoot, a lovers hide out or even family outing. There is enough room for everyone to spread out. Take an umbrella as there is no shade and drinking water as there is no cafe close by. Do take your rubbish home with you and keep this stop clean. Don't be put of my the dirt road ...I guarantee the drive will be worth it. For the budding photographers take a walk along the pathway and you'll find some interesting pieces to photograph.

An archeological site combined with an amazing beach. One of the best in the world. You can easily swim and walk across the shallow canal to the island just opposite to a small virgin beach. The water is cristal clear and color of the water is perfect.

Liked - quietness of the beach - ample room for everyone to spead out, lovely calm waters, the far end of the beach towards the sea inlet was the nicest part although very shallow and it did feel like we could walk to Pylos before the water reached higher than our waists! An area of the beach towards the far end would appear to be a nudist beach.Disliked - the amount of dried seaweed left on the beach and no shade or facilities, although I believe these have been deliberately removed due to its status as a nature reserve

its situated at the mouth of navarino bay, quiet waters, carpark to palaeokastro on one side, it was my favourite place as it is so peacefull, great to walk to from Gialova beach, great for snorkelling, strange manmade rocks underwater towards the island that makes up the other side of the mouth of the bay.

fantastic safe beach. loads of room. some small trees offer bit of shade.

This is a nice beach in the Gialova area, and very easy to get to from the town. It is a long sandy beach served by a beach bar at one end (if you head along the beach you won't be disturbed by the music). There are very few rocks on the beach and it is a flat beach, meaning that you can go a decent distance out to sea before you have to swim. There is plenty of parking and from the beach you can walk to the Paliokastro if you want. Overall it is a decent beach to visit, probably second only to the Gialova lagoon in the area. There are bird watching trips run around the lagoon at the back of the beach.

Een mooi, groot en vrij rustig strand aan de baai van Navarino. Als je de duinen erachter beklimt, kom je aan de lagune van Gialova. Neem wel eten en drinken mee, want er zijn geen voorzieningen, maar je krijgt er wel meer rust dan op de stranden in de kustdorpjes.
