Tomas and Anna could not have made you feel more welcome. Absolutely brilliant. Every match was shown on the TVs including darts and formula one. Much better than the hotel we were staying in

You must call in to see Tomas and his family ,, great welcome , great pint ! If you like a football and rugby themed pub you must call here ,, Tomas has all the football games on ,,premier league , French and German leagues ,, and the International rugby matches ,, great place to pop in for a drink ,,, they serve food as well !

We have never been made to feel as welcome as we were at this bar. The first thing we ask when we went in was for directions to the nearest chemist and instead of pointing the way he got his car and took us himself!! Lovely low priced drinks and a great atmosphere highly recommended

Loved the new location of the Anfield bar. Sat overlooking the small bay near the church enjoying the weather and the lovely cocktails served here. Great music and various sports available to watch on the TVs. Tomas and Anna are one of the friendliest couples you could find. The food here is of excellent quality and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you both for helping us to enjoy our holiday, can't wait for next year!

If you visit the area then please pop in for a drink, you wont be disappointed! Tomas is a wonderful guy who makes everyone feel welcome. The views are lovely from the bar and they serve a decent pint of Carling!!

went to the anfield bar 3 times ,first time for a quick drink and to suss out wat time the england matches were on. plenty of local and imported drinks to choose from. got extremly drunk watching the san marino game . our host was brill and service was great. a must visit for sports fans and i hear the food is good too. free wifi.

If you holiday anywhere in Crete, please please please take time out to visit the Anfield Bar in Gouves. Situated in the quieter part just by the little white church, this bar has everything. Relaxing atmosphere, Sport on 7 screens if you want it, music on some nights, lovely location and the most fantastic hosts ever. It is run by Tomas, Anna and Kristy, quite possibly the nicest people in all of Crete. If you leave Crete without visiting the Anfield, then you will have missed out on the best part of your holiday. Cannot thank them enough.

Tomas and Anna are two of the nicest people you could meet. They always treat us like family. Great welcome and lovely food. Really good value. The Anfield Bar is right on the seafront do you can enjoy good and drinks while taking in the lovely view. If you are into football they have seven large tv screens and show all the big games. Will miss them both but hopefully see them next year.

Lovely clean modern premises with comfortable seating both inside and out. Outdoor terraces are raised above street level, they have a large canopy area to shelter from the hot daytime sun and relaxing sea views. Drinks are very reasonably priced - the fresh orange juice is delicious! We didn't eat here this time although other customers orders looked very appetising.The toilet facilities in The Anfield Bar are second to none. Sparkling clean, fresh smelling and fully stocked with soap, towels etc - probably the best in Gouves!Tomas and Anna are superb hosts and make you feel very welcome. We will definitely be back to see them next year.

had a great time in this bar,very friendly , the staff were great drinks very nice and cold and you got crisps or nuts with them,when you paid to go you got a free shot our boys got a ice cream, lots of sport on too, would recommend highly

When we first arrived, we were greeted by Thomas, who treated us like we'd been there before - he was such a lovely guy, and couldn't do enough for us. We went every night of our holidays. He always had some sport on the tvs, whatever you asked for he would find.

only found this bar at the end of our holiday so we only had 2 nights there but we had a fantastic time.thomas and anna are very welcoming and they play music to dance to and remember it to play again when you return next time.we asked thomas does he have karaoke and he said ring up tomorrow and i will try.he got our karaoke for us and we had a fantastic night.i thought this was a lovely gesture.

We visited the Anfield bar on couple of ocassions during our two weeks in Gouves. It was our first time in Crete, and I must say that the welcome we recieved from the owners was just fantastic. It was just like we were regulars returning after a long time away. We returned with friends on our last day, just to say goodbye and thanks. Must have stayed for at least 3 or 4 hours. Drinks and food was just great. Can't wait to go back to Gouves and will definitely visit the Anfield Bar again.

Just returned from our holiday in Gouves and once again the welcome we got at the Anfield Bar was fantastic it just gets better !! We were there every day for food and drinks ( can highly recommend it ) and we just love the pool bar haha Spot on for football and entertainment Thomas is a great host and Anna makes the best cocktails in Gouves... you couldn't meet a nicer more genuine couple. We were disappointed in our choice of apts this year but the Anfield Bar more than made up for it Thank you Thomas Anna & Girls missing you already xx
