As you see the reviews it's not recommended but we never went during the the day but we fancied a cocktail at about 4pm-5pm most of the tourists had left and there was no one on the beach! There was a dj playing and a load of ransoms having a dance and a good time if you ignore the cafeteria you are actually in a nice clean bar. Drinks are expensive but that's what you'd expect,The main thing for us is that there was easy parking and a short walk down but the sunset was one of the most amazing I'd ever seen and we live out in Greece! Worth a visit toward the end of the day maybe not during the day... But don't quote me one that!

The only positive thing about this famous beach is the waiter service at your sunloungers. I guess it's great for people wanting to stick photos of this on social media websites - and that's the kind of people the place is full of, all the way through the dozen rows of sunloungers, packed tightly like sardines in a tin, young folks -clutching a colurful cocktail in one hand -are posing carefully to show off their toned bodies, suntan and trendy accessories, accompanied by loud music pumping from giant speakers. The famous cafe/bar in the middle of it has the same atmosphere, topped up with overworked and ignorant staff, too tired to notice you.

The beach is beautiful only when there arent people playing above your head. Tip: good part of the beach is the right side bellow the reastaurant. You don't get there using the main entrance to the beach, but the one closer to the center.

A nice, clear turquoise sandy beach just a short drive away from the capital (6 Euros by taxi). Warm enough in the end of October for a swim.

mainly the clear clean water,nice -not so thin-sand and so close tothe city and some other beaches near by.

The beach is lovely, sandy and clean. The taverna is perfect for laid back lunches with delicious Greek food

Very well sign posted throughout Lassi. Very clean and cheap sunbeds and umbrellas. Great bar for lunch and drinks but also beach bar personnel walking round taking orders. Water crystal clean with lovely golden sandy beach. What is there not to like?

This beach was the most visited beach from our side during the holiday.Nice sand,clear water,enough space for everyone.When you enter in the water sand is all around you and nothing else.We had to walk to the beach about 1 kilometer from our apartmant but it is great for exercise.

The beach was amazing. The food In Every restaurant never disappointed. The people are lovely and friendly and can't do enough to help. There are many different places to eat and drink great atmosphere everywhere. The weather was absolutely beautiful for the entire fortnight.

Nice sandy beach, plenty of water sports. lots of beach bars. Prices of activities were good as were the bars to eat & drink

We enjoyed every visit to this beach. The sun beds were two for 6 Euro. The beach felt safe with a nice beach bar and good staff. The sea was clear and clean with water sports too. A nice walk to the beach too.

Excellent beach and Taverna, the sea is beautifully clear and the beach spotlessly clean. Watersports are available for those who want them

If you like your beaches sandy and the sea clear and warm try Makris Gialos. The beach is kept really clean and dips into the sea at just the right sort of level which means you don't have to go too far out to swim. It does get busy but if you get there early and aim for the front row you can ignore the fact that there are several other rows behind you. There was a bit of a problem this year though with the beach staff "reserving" sunbeds on the front row for their friends (ie usually female and under 25!). Don't think they're supposed to but such is life! There are waiters wandering around as well and its quite nice to have an ouzo, glass of wine or sandwich brought to you. No extra charge but most people give them a small tip.

Great view, great food and great service, great place to call out and people watch. Went there a couple of times
