golfclub borghees

We had a nice deal with 6 friends. Kaffee + Kuchen, 18 holes and two course menu.Service very friendly. The office had made a mistake with our start time, we were delayed by nearly an hour because of a formal senior ladies golf event before us. And those ladies played slow. Several thought they were in the lpga but it was more style over content.... They did hold up the rest of the golfers. However, the weather was great, practice facilities good and we had all the time of the world.The course is not 'manicured' but certainly good enough to have a challenging game. Bit of clover on the fairway. Greens excellent but too slow. Needed mowing since your shoe imprints were visible if you stood for a few seconds. Area very rural, nice big trees, many birds.Afterwards we had a good time on the terrace and took our dinner there. Very good value for money.Plenty parking room for the cars. Small changing room but clean facilities.Being a Dutchman myself I occasionally felt embarrassed by the boorish behaviour of my compatriots both male and female that frequent this golfcourse.

Der Golfclub Borghees liegt nahe der Grenze zu den Niederlanden. Ein netter Platz, den man einmal gespielt haben sollte .Der Platz ist anspruchvoll, aber durchaus zu beherrschen. Die Bunker sind gut plaziert und beschützen mit den Wasserhindernissen gut die Grüns. Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung aber es spielen überwiegend Niederländer auf dem Platz.
