There are so many parrots here, and amazing animals! My mother is addicted to animal photography so we pretty well spent an entire day in here! So worth a stroll through.. too much city can be hectic for me.
after the wind storm it is so sad to visit like a bomb went off all the beautiful trees destroyed I miss the old hofgarten filled with great shade and lovely old trees
When you are tired of shopping in the Köningsallee you can relax in this lovely park nearby. A green space in the centre of Düsseldorf with a pond, statues and a lot of benches to rest your feet. Good to visit any time of year. Don't miss the KÖ-Bogen at the edge of the park near the Köningsallee, these modern buildings are designed the famous architect Libeskind
It was lovely to sit and watch the waterfowl even in December. Spotting the parrakeets was fun for me.
Was a very nice walk, very pretty, lots of people walking, biking, or just sitting and enjoying the scenery.
The best time is going during the dark. All benches have lights. It is very romantic and has a great visual effect. I will return
after the big storm in June 2014, lots of this park is off-limits but we liked the woody, shady parts that were open (locals were ignoring the closures!)
I love this park - if you go at night the benches are all lit up and this gives a lovely visual effect. Also the fountains are lit up and make a very nice display. Great for running, walking, cycling or sitting!
Historic park with a lot of modern buildings next to it centrally located.Due to a summer storm a lot of broken trees.
A lovely place to walk in Dusseldorf, it is so green which makes it even more beautiful. The combination of Mother Nature with new weird - but interesting - building makes it a must place to visit!
This place are totally extraordinary. ESPECIALLY after the new constructions there. Place definitely to see!
There is no getting away from it - this 'park' is in the middle of a city. I know it is lovely with spring flowers etc but in the winter it's main function is to provide a 10-20 minute walk for fathers to push their children around, or cyclists to weave their way carefully around the rest of us.The problem is you can always see and hear the traffic sounds so it is hardly restful.I can imagine resting your feet on a hot summer afternoon or taking the dog for a walk but that is about it.
Great spot to come and sit down and enjoy the views, whilst being in old town and shopping not far away.
This is a must visit in Dusseldorf with great landscaping and a wide variety of trees. It provides a calm and well kept green place close to the Altstadt and the Rhine as well as next to the Tonhalle and the Kunstpalast,
Good place to unwind, and do a bit of people-watching. The park has an unmistakable air of old European palace's garden.
