The "mini" Basilica is a MUST see. The inside of the church is breathtaking! We were told it is built to an exact smaller scale of the St. Basilica in Rome. The fresco paintings on the vaulted ceilings are mesmerizing. The alter is breathtaking. And the organ pipes are some of the most amazing in all of Europe. From the front steps, you can see the entire town of Weingarten.

Comparisons to St Peter's are misleading. The church is very big, certainly, but the size isn't all that dramatic. Aesthetically too. It has none of the breathtaking beauty of, say, Steinhausen. So go if you're in the district, but don't expect too much. At the beginning of January there was an impressively large and elaborate wooden Nativity scene on show in the north transept. To get to the church on foot from the square, you normally have to climb a lot of character-building steps. There must be a way up round the back though, for builders' trucks, etc, so if you have mobility problems don't despair. Ask around.

wer die Zeit und die Muße hat, dieses beeindruckende Bauwerk zu besichtigen hat seine Zeit mit Sicherheit gut eingesetzt. Eine tolle Gesamtanlage mit vielen Dingen, die man entdecken kann. Deckengemälde, Orgel, Gemälde und vieles, vieles mehr. Ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis und ein toller moment der Entspannung.

Die Basilika Weingarten ist eine Wallfahrtskirche an der Oberschwäbischen Barockstraße mit dem Heilig-Blut-Reliquiar am Hauptaltar und mit der berühmten Orgel von Joseph Gabler (Orgelkonzerte finden regelmäßig statt). Ein Besuch des Blutrittes /Freitag nach Christi Himmelfahrt, in Weingarten ist besonders empfehlenswert, mit der größten Reiterprozession Europas und dem Heilig-Blut-Fest.

Bella,piena di fascino e storia.curata nei minimi particolari. L'unico neo sono le campane,io ho vissuto a cinquanta metri dal campanile per diversi mesi....insopportabili.Ma questo è un appunto che si può trascurare visto che è un luogo da visitare per qualche ora e non certo soggiornarvi di più.

Wer Ravensburg besucht, darf die Basilika von Weingarten nicht verpassen. 10 Autominuten entfernt und ein grandioses Highlight der Region .... Unbedingt besuchen!

Wir hatten dort geheiratet... in einer der schönsten Kirchen in der Region. Die Gablerorgel verzaubert einfach bei den schönen Klängen...

É interessante essa Basilica, o estilo barroco é alegre, muitas cores e essa é diferente, as pinturas sao escuras mas mui bonitas, o orgao é famoso, tem mui concertos no ano.Uma sugestao, apos conhece-la e tb o centro da cidade, vao almocar no Best Western Parking Hotel, 4 estrelas, na semana, tem almoco por €8,50 e ainda uma bebida, n alcoolica de brinde.Depois vao pra Ravensburg, cidade das torres q é mui interessantes.Quem tem crianca pode passar o dia no Ravensburg Spielt, as criancas vao amar.Esta regiao é linda, adoro morar aqui.

Cette belle basilique est vraiment très classique. Mis à part son ampleur, elle n'est pas remarquable et comme dans la ville c'est le seul point d'intérêt , la visite de Weingarten n'est pas un pas un incontournable si vous êtes dans la région , préférer bad schussenreid

Из Констанца на пароме через Боденское озеро приехали в Вайнгартен. Сразу виден монастырь. Базилика постоянно на реставрации, но в этот раз удалось попасть внутрь. Очень красивый католический собор на холме. Внизу у подножья холма море туристических магазинчиков и бар, где можно попробовать и купить вина региона боденского озера. Удивительно то, что Вайнгартен плавно переходит в соседний Равенсбург.

Die Basilika ist ein muss für jeden kulturinteressierten Besucher von Weingarten. Leider sind derzeit Renovierungsarbeiten an der Aussenfassade im Gange. Dennoch ist ein Besuch des Gotteshauses ein umwerfendes Ereignis.

Wer Weingarten besucht, kommt an der Basilika nicht vorbei! Ein Juwel in der Landschaft, traumhaft gelegen, mit der berühmten Reliquie "heilig Blut", einer fantastischen Orgel! Ein imposantes Bauwerk!

Qualität der Führung, beste Information Leider muß das Kloster wegen Personalmangel schliessen. Ob es dann noch so eine gute Führung gibt?

Sehr schöne Basilika mit fast alles drum und daran. Sehr schönes Blick auf umgebung. Gut für Fotomotive.

Ci siamo stati per la seconda volta in 2 anni. La basilica e' un vero monumento imponente al centro della citta' di Weingarten. Per raggiungerla e' necessario andare verso il centro citta' e la vedete imponente. Tra' l'altro di fronte e' solo isola pedonale quindi ci arrivate tranquillamente. Parcheggio a circa 100 metri a pagamento.La basilica quest'anno era in ristrutturazione (pulizia della facciata) quindi nessuna fotografia. La basilica e' stile Notre Dame, 2 campanili laterali molto alti. L'interno e' bellissimo (potrete trovare molte fotografie in rete) ci sono affreschi su tutta l'arcata della chiesa. E' tenuta benissimo e credo sia stata restaurata di recente. L'altare e' maestoso e molto distante. Oltre alla basilica, al fianco c'e' un bellissimo chiostro dove credo risiedano tutta una serie di associazioni . E' un chistro bellissimo che merita di essere visitato.Se vi trovate in zona non mancate di visitare il tutto.
