Charming building located at one of the 'upper' streets. Its history mentions that after the Catholics in Bacharach acquired freedom of religion, in1685 came at the end of 17th century the Capuchins to the site of the former Zollhof (Customs Court), in 1689-1705 a monastery was built, the accompanying St. Nicholas Church was dedicated in 1710. This church did not only serve as a monastery church of the Capuchin Friars but also served as a parish church for the Catholic population of Bacharach. The current Town Hall, an elongated building with half-timbered top floor was built 14th century as a "tenth Court" of the Cologne Andreasstift. From mid-16th century it housed the Kurpfälzische Kellerei within its walls, first half 20th century, the building was once temporarily used as a hotel "Alter Zollhof". Today it houses the municipal administration and the tourist office.
