The village itself has no other attractions. When we visited the church was closed, so only pix of its exterior. 14th Century choir, 1744 Hall church with Flèche. The first Church in Bosenheim was dedicated to St. Martin, probably built very early and presumably burned down in 1279. The Division of Castle Böckelheim between the counts of Sponheim and the Archbishop of Mainz resulted in1279 in a battlefield at Sprendlingen. After the defeaten Sponheimers withdrew to Kreuznach the victorious ones of Mainz destroyed the surrounding villages Pfaffen-Schwabenheim and Bosenheim. Shortly afterwards, the Church was rebuilt, the choir dates from this period. The Rhein counts gave the patronage in 1469 to the canons of Monastery St. Maria in Flonheim, with all its rights and benefits: 13 morgen farmland, 314 morgen Wingert and 1 ¾ meadows (Unit of area: a “morgen” was the area which could be plowed by a team of oxen in one morning). The male line of the counts von Sportheim died out in 1437, so the County was then governed by three Herren, of who the Palatine Prince-Elector had the upper hand. Since he was a member of the Wittelsbach dinasty the county had to endure the Bavarian succession war: in 1504 Bosenheim was plundered by fighters of the margraves von Hessen, the arson of monastery Sponheim and church resulted in a great fire.
