The Poldi Pezzoli Museum is situated in the centre of Milan, a few steps from piazza della Scala .It has a collection of porcelains and old beautiful embroideries .It also and often the location for important exhibitions

The Museum Poldi Pezzoli is near La Scala so it is an easy walk from center city. First the palace itself is amazing in that a family actually lived on the property. The collections are too numerous to mention, but know that many are of objects one will not find elsewhere --- sundials, decorative arts, jewelry, etc. along with religious art and objects from the 13th and 14th centuries. Each salon is filled with like objects. The information is shared in English for easier understanding of those who do not read Italian. Do not miss this beautiful building and its wondrous contents.

I enjoyed this former residence of Pezzoli turned museum as the day of our visit, there was a special exhibition of the four ladies portraits brought in from 3 other museums. This is not a big museum and there are several items worth seeing but it won't take more than 2 hours, at best.

As many museums and church were closed on Monday, i have chosen this museum as my last stop in Milan before heading to airport. The art museum is quite small ( the entrance fee is Eur10, not cheap either) and within a short walking distance from Montenapoleone metro station. It turned out to be quite good (of course we cannot compare it with Uffizi or Accademia Gallery in Florence). The 4 paintings entitled "Portrait of a Young Woman" in the ground floor were arranged in the same row and have attracted a fair bit of attention from the crowd during the visit. Other interesting painting include "Nude Archer" on the ground floor as well.

The museum is based on a private collection and includes many different types of objects (paintings, jewels, swords, armors...).Everything amazingly beautiful, and amazingly well exposed and illuminated (you will hardly see any light reflection on glass protections). Many other Italian museums (too often rich in content, but not that well organised and exposed) could learn something from this place.

You can find this small museum just north of the Scala theatre - very good value for money (E10) - lots of rooms and interesting artwork and features

Found this to be a very interesting museum and glad we saw it. A diverse collection of items and hardly any tourists so had plenty of time and space to visit. A must see if in Milan

The museum is nice to see but it's quite small it won't take you long to visit it but it is worthing especially if it is a rainy weather

A lovely milanese villa, now a museum. I enjoyed it, but it was not as notable as I expected. The Ambrosiana is a better choice if you have limited time

The historical background is quite interesting and what this young man collected worth seeing. From arms and other military paraphernalia to rugs and an excellent art collection there is something for every taste.

Housed in beautiful old palazzo in heart of Milan. Includes period costumes and is well worth a quick visit....Very beautiful renaissance palazzo of which very few still exist in Milan.

From the moment you step inside, you'll understand that this is not your typical museum; located a few minutes from the Teatro La Scala, and from the Milan cathedral, this former residence hosts one of the most impressive and complete private collections I've ever seen. Besides the palace alone deserves a visit. Finally, the staff are very friendly and most of them are volunteers who are convinced of the amazing value of the POLDI PEZZOLI MUSEUM. I would recommend to buy the "Case museo" card, which costs €15.00 and you get access to four of the most beautiful museum houses in Milan. I took my 7 year old daughter for a visit and we were totally overwhelmed and impressed, a beautiful experience. My daughter loved it! Very inexpensive also, €9 for me and free for my daughter. Afterwards we walked down to via Della spiga. A beautiful day.

This unique museum is quite an interesting place to visit. There seems to be no logic in the way everything is displayed, without chronological order or theme. Yet you'll find a collection of lace fragments, another of weapons, paintings, furniture, etc. It's worth the detour if you're interested in any of these or just interested in looking at a bit of everything.

Milan doesn't have the ruins of rome or the art of Florence so if you are sight seeing in Milan, its a must see. Just don't have high expectations
