When in Monte Sant' Angelo you must visit the Castello both for the gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape and for a bit of history. We were here when the summer weather changed and the skies turned purple blue, I loved it.

This castle is over looking a wide valley on the edge of an interesting village. Many go to this town see the cave chapel of St. Michael, but I found this castle much more interesting. The views were stunning. The castle is fascinating to wander through, both inside and outside. It is well preserved and spotlessly clean. As I roamed through the site I could feel the 1000 year old influence of the Norman crusaders that built this fortress outpost on a hill so many miles from home.

The castle is of moderate size & still in quite good conditions. One can go inside to see how actually was living in a castle. Still some areas, including prison are there. Then on to the real plus !!! One is on top of a hill & on top of the fortification great views of the areas including town and valley underneath. Awesome experience & for a modest price.

Going back in history, well restored castle and stunning views. It is really worth a visit. You need a taxi, organised tour or hire a care to arrive

This was one of my favourite places i visited when i was in rome last week. Its beautiful and only 7 euros, bargain. The views at the top are amazing. The history and the age is mind blowing. Its a must when visiting rome

The castle is interesting. The views from the top are breathtaking. We practically had the whole castle to ourselves since we visited towards the end of the tourist season.

Bellissimo borgo che è una vera terrazza sul mare di Manfredonia e la al tempo stesso un luogo di pellegrinaggio. Ovviamente non si può evitare la visita alla grotta di San Michele ed una passeggiata tra le bianche case del paese. Ottimo il cibo e le focacce

Чтобы добраться до этого замка, надо заранее посмотреть карту, ибо интернет и навигатор в этих местах сходит с ума, а телефонная связь доступна только на которких участках дороги. Очень суровый климат, особенно зимой. Все-таки горы и ветер. Совсем не похоже на погоду равнинной Италии. Дороги - серпантин. Это просто приключение, сделали несколько кругов вокруг города, т.к. отказал навигатор. Нашли выездные пути только смотря на дорожные знаки.

La Leggenda vuole che nella Grotta dove ora si trova la Chiesa dedicata a SaN Michele Arcangelo. Il principe delle milizie celesti sia apparso diverse volte e abbia consacrato con la sua presenza il luogo. La chiesa infatti non è consacrata da nessun ministro di Dio. Il luogo è caratteristico per il suo essere arroccato sul monte. Ma cio che si prova nella grotta delle apparizioni fa' credere che non si tratti di leggenda ma di verita' accadute secoli fa'.Suggestiva e Mistica incantera il visitatore sollevando il suo spirito. Per chi crede questa è la dimora terrena dell' Arcangelo che ha promesso la liberazione dagli influssi malefici a chiunque con fede tocchera' le rocce della grotta. Bellissima Basilica con moltissimi simboli esoterici e richiami ai Templari. Da Visitare assolutamente!

Ripercorre tutta la storia e tutti i re ed imperatori che sono stati nel sud italia. Primo tra tutti Federico II di svevia,non è nenache tanto caro 2e50 euro a testa.

Il castello si trova al centro della zona vecchia di Monte Sant'Angelo, a due passi dal Santuario. La struttura è imponente, sebbene non esattamente in linea con altre strutture simili. All'ingresso ci è stato offerto di acquistare al costo di 2 euro i biglietti per usufruire della visita non guidata delle zone esterne e dei saloni. Visita suggestiva. Certamente, dopo il Santuario, la seconda attrattiva della zona.

È' un paese fantastico, suggestivo. La gente del posto e' ospitale, gentile, mai invadente. Negozi e ristoranti pulitissimi, si spende poco e la qualità' e' alta. Le stradine del paese sono meravigliose, il duomo fantastico, mistico

Posto suggestivo all'interno che offre un bellissimo panorama sul Gargano. Punto debole è la scarsa segnaletica interna e una scarna descrizione dei luoghi. Ad un certo punto ci siamo sentiti quasi persi senza che ci fosse una qualche guida nei paraggi, il turista è abbandonato a se stesso. L'unico personale in servizio è quello alla biglietteria.

Cittadina a circa 800 metri slm quindi con clima quasi montano ma con una splendida vista sul golfo garganico. Ricca di storia e tradizione con case caratteristiche e tantissime chiese. Bellissima per i 1000 scorci da cui scoprire altrettante prospettive. Veramente inaspettata. vale assolutamente una visita di mezza giornata.
