Very interesting collection of WW1 finds that the owner has made in the surrounding area. He is very enthusiastic and welcoming host. He is also very proud that Michael Palin and a film crew stopped there for lunch whilst filming in the area and included his museum in the Timewatch programme. Although we only had a coffee some other people were having sandwiches and very good they looked too. There is no charge to see the museum but a donation is much appreciated.
Great salad for lunch and interesting WW1 museum. Host has collected thousands of WW1 finds from surrounding hills and displays them in a museum adjoining the restaurant.
Jean Paul led my son and I and others on an extremely informative walking tour of the battleground in and near this village. He was pleasant, energetic, knowledgeable and entertaining. His museum is also a must. Visiting his museum and/or taking his tour is a great excuse to visit a part of France that few Americans, like myself, venure to. Thanks, Jean Paul.
Just outside the American Militaryn Cemetery. Incmcredible museum of artifacts found on the battlefield arrayed in very thoughtful displays to tell the story of the battlefield, soldiers and townspeople . Jean - Paul is an excellent host and speaks excellent english an expert on the battles. They make the best sandwich in France
This is a great opportunity to get close to the relics and many personal items left over from ww1.Collected over many years by Jean-Paul de Vries from the local fields of France.Jean - Paul is a friendly guy, always happy to chat. The museum has a cafe - so a good opportunity for a sandwich and a drink. My 15 year old son thoroughly enjoyed it and that's saying something!
Het museum Romagne is een must voor iedere geïnteresseerde over WOI. Een rondleiding in de omgeving door de heer de Vries is een ervaring die beklijft.
Accueil sympathique, cadre pittoresque. Nous avons passé ici un moment très agréable. Nous sommes sortis repus et le sourire aux lèvres. N'oubliez pas le lait pour la chatte!
