Interesting open place with ancient buildings. Quaint facades with different shops, cafes and restaurants. Would be a great stop in the spring to enjoy the surroundings.
A very interesting place, ancient buildings, nice facades, many shops, small and pretty restaurants and, of course, the impressive statue of Saint Louis!
A large circle , sorounded by French styke old buidings, with splendid decorated facades, statues, little garden and a lot of pubs and restorants in plain air, where a lot of people are enjoung music, conversation, dinner or drnks!
The medieval store fronts and arcades give this square a very romantic feel. On summer nights there seem to be plenty of locals out dining in the square - all very relaxed. In the afternoon there is a pretty carousel for small children.
It's central location and large amount of bars make this a very popular and scenic bar scene area! It's mostly car-free which allows a large amount of bars to make a very large terrace zone.
It is actually very central to the downtown area and not at all expensive! You'll find good places to eat and to have coffee/cake.
Great little square with café after café and a fun little carousel (which of course is just fine for adults to ride). We did! It's right in the middle of the shopping district and within walking distance of St Stephen's Cathedral.
There are three or four around the city, but the one in Place St Louis is the biggest, with a lovely balance of food and drinks, merchandise and crafts. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area too. The closest parking is Coislin, which cost only 50 cents after 7pm in the evenings.
There was a nice carroussel in the middle of the street, and this is very close to other interesting destinations, I would definetly recomend that.
Good for restaurants, and a early evening walk. We enjoyed an Italian meal in a little place just off the square
This beautiful row of buildings, dating from the middle ages, is a perfect spot to stroll, shop and eat. One of the wonders of this very underappreciated city of Metz.
Metz at Christmas is magical. Beautiful lights in the medieval old two pedestrian malls and 4 Christmas markets dotted through the squares including the medieval Place Saint Louis. Beautiful atmosphere and good food.
Nice, very French. You will not miss it once in Metz.
