Caught this during a quick walk-about of Dijon and was in awe of the architecture caught by the evening sunset. Recommend.

We were there with a youth group from Taize. It is a most enjoyable place for people who prefer silencium towards busy hectic tourist attractions. A truly sacred place to go.

An amazing and impressive cathedral with very tall columns and of great length. It has some beautiful stained glass. So amazing to see what could be built in the 13th and 14th centuries

Although less specular then the other church, it remains a hughe cathedral . Don't forget the crypte (just a daim or so)

We had planned on seeing the inside of the Cathedral and of course the tile roof is brilliant but I hadn't done my home work before we left on our trip. I had no idea there was a crypt under the cathedral and found it more interesting than the Cathedral itself. No charge to enter the cathedral though you may find someone sitting at the door with a change bucket IMPLYING a charge, but this is a "donation" to the person holding the bucket, not an entrance fee. There is a small charge to see the crypt, you can buy a ticket inside the cathedral on the right side. Well worth it.

Not a great fan of walking around in cathedrals but this one looked great on camera in blac and white. It is quite industrial in its architecture and not unlike most inside. It is close to the mall, car parks and markets and we parked only 100 metres from it, worth a trip, dijon is enchanting

Went to the Saturday afternoon mass at 4:30 and then visited the cathedral afterwards. Very nice atmosphere.

Stupend gotic construction. You can spend a lot of time exploring the external part, finding very interesting and nice gargules.

We visited Saint-Benigne on a Sunday and high mass was being celebrated as it was Ascension Sunday. Although we were not able to wander round looking at the church as usual, we were able to listen to some beautiful singing and see the building as a functioning place of worship and not as some kind of museum.

This cathedral, St. Benigne, is one of the very old ones in Europe, with a lot of history. Built in 1280, it was and is the seat of the archbishops of Dijon. What I thought was really interesting are the gargoyles outside on the front. I found my friend's best friend, her spaniel, there. The cathedral is majestic and awe-inspiring with its soaring pillars and beautiful windows.

Bright, light-filled ancient non-gothic cathedral with a few stunning stained glass windows. Front facade is under restoration but the crypt is well worth a visit.

In every city we went into churches and cathedrals to see the architecture. This cathedral was the brightest and had the warmest feeling of them all, the sunshine gave the place an aura of joy. The pictures reflect the difference in light between the two ends of the cathedral. Compared to the Notre Dame of Dijon, I would recommend you go see this instead (or too).

Its a delightful small cathedral, well worth a visit. The only downside was the very persistent beggar at the entrance door.
