Had a great time at the chateau, kids loved looking around and trying on the armour. Wine was lovely so treated myself to a few bottles!

Great spot to visitA lovely drive from nearby Cluny through pretty villages and vineyards and viewsWe were met at the reception point and shop by a friendly and welcoming young lady who explained everything to us in English and made us feel that we were valued visitors.There is a very interesting and amusing history of the castle and its inhabitants through good times and bad. It is in the ancient church which you pass through on your way into the castle Don't skip it it is really nice.This was definitely a fortress and not just a country home so there are lots of swords, chain mail, helmets and things for children to examine and try.There are some quite lethal weapons around to get hold of and examine a bit too closely for comfort, so parents be on your guard!The great kitchens are well set out to engage and inform the visitor in an entertaining way and the 'atmosphere' is enhanced by music of the age playing softly in the background.Every effort is made here to explain things in English and French which is not the case everywhere.Do climb the stairs to the castle 'loft' and listen to the wind whistling through the arrow slits - its quite eerie!Then descend into the wine cellars which are huge and where the contents must have provided a few serious hangovers over the centuries!Finally you finish your tour where you started in the elegant shop with lots of miniature knights on horseback models etc for children, nice little souvenirs and wine from the Chateau Vineyards.Yes something for everyone here at Pierreclos!

Great little castle to walk around in. Walking through the different rooms from the very top right into the cellars is very nice. Afterwards there is plenty of opportunity to taste and purchase wines. We bought about 12 bottles and they are very nice!

We all enjoyed this smallish but very well presented chateau, visitors from the age of 18mths to 58 years! Excellent wine as well, and a great shop. Well worth a visit.

A medieval castle still occupied by a private family - interesting from an architectural perspective - rooms are presented with displays to understand medieval life there. A lovely gift shop and wine tasting wait for visitors at the end. Not bad wine.

Pierreclos is a beautiful castle (particularly the roof) in a picturesque setting in the southern Maconnais vineyards. The gift shop is also great, as is the wine tasting after you visit the castle and grounds. Definitely worth a visit!

What a fun find - they even have a room full of (copies of) armor and weapons to try on.

Très beau Château au milieu des vignobles.Nous avons fait une très belle visites.La personne à l'accueil est très agréable et à répondu à toutes nos questions (Château et vin).

Le prix d'entrée est élevé alors que le château n'est pas vraiment fabuleux ! De plus, la dégustation des vins est décevante (très peu de vin à goûter). Alors qu'il y a des domaines à côté avec du vin moins cher et avec une dégustation qui vaut le coup

Un château très riche en histoire. Nous avons eu la chance d'être guidé par le propriétaire des lieux. Cela permet d'avoir une visite plus détaillée concernant l'histoire et l'architecture du château de Pierreclos. Il est possible de déguster le vin du château, qui est très bon ! Nous en avons acheté. Bref une très bonne visite !

Le château de Pierreclos est assez impressionnant par sa masse, sa tour, on y trouve aussi une chapelle.Visite culturelle et ludique à la découverte du Moyen Age, visite non guidée mais dans toutes les salles vous trouvez des affiches explicatives, un livret-jeu donné aux enfants, plan du parcours, tout est fait pour que votre visite soit agréable.Magnifiques caves, salle à manger spacieuse avec un énorme sanglier, salle aux épices...Boutique : objets, livres, jeux, des produits de la Région de la Bourgogne et bien sûr du vin, sirop, liqueur...Tarif réduit : Pass Chéquier-Découverte Saône-et-Loire (sur présentation du coupon de réduction de ce document)Ne ratez pas cette visite.

chateau très bien conservé, avec de belles caves visitables, une magnifique cuisine reconstituée, des explications intéressantes .....et pas barbantes, y compris pour les enfants

Architecture médiévale concervé avec le plus grand respect. Ce très beau château est visitable de la cave au grenier (pour ceux qui ont du souffle). Les pièce de vie telle que la cuisine et la boulangerie sont d'une extraordinaire authenticité.Pour les amoureux du médiéval, c'est incontournable.
