This is a well established garden with a pretty walk through it. The view over the ocean is worth the climb up some pretty steep stairs on to the top of a rocky outcrop.
Only a short walk away from Roscoff, lovely and well maintained garden.Still a lot of flowers blooming in September. You can also buy some plants there. I did!
This garden exhibits a collection of sub-tropical plants from around the world and also has a cactus garden in a polytunnel for the plants that prefer arid conditions. There is also a rocky outcrop that overlooks the bay of Morlaix and the new Roscoff Marina which has excellent views. You can easily spend two or more hours exploring here for a small price. Excellent value.
In a country that may appear to work on subsidies alone, this place thrives on its own and provides an impressive variety of exotic plants in a well tended garden. The nursery at the end of the visit is worth recommending.
Even if you're not a fanatical gardener you're never going to find the gardens less than impressive, especially on a warm, sunny way when the views open up across the Bay of Morlaix. Established and run by volunteers this is a magical corner of Brittany stuffed with southern hemisphere plants. Best of all is the sales area where many of the more unusual and exotic varieties can be bought at very reasonable prices - each with an indication as to the temperature range it will tolerate as a guide to planting at home.
Huge exotic plants of all varieties, and awesome views over the Breton coast. I half expected to find dinosaurs lurking amongst the giant ferns!
Le Jardin is just stone's throw from the ferry terminal and priced very reasonably. My daughter and I were intrigued by the variety of plants, with specimens from all over. The paths are well marked, and the plants mostly labeled with common and scientific names. Well worth a couple of hours on a sunny day.
Good parking near the entrance. A delightful walk around a stunningly colourful garden with exotic plants framed by rocks & the sea. A cactus house with a variety of plants. Good sitting places & glorious views. The tallest Echiums I have ever seen. Utterly delightful.
After a gloomy winter, and remembering our wonderful trip to Australia last year, it was lovely to walk amongst eucalyptus trees in the sun, in Brittany! Just out of Roscoff, this tropical garden provides an enjoyable walkabout for about an hour. The short climb up the rock provides a good view of the local coast and marina. It was early in the year, so not many plants in flower, but still an enjoyable visit (and no snakes!)
Very interesting garden but access by car tricky, road very narrow in parts. Gardens most interesting with large rock to climb in the centre (by steep stairs). Interesting plants for sale with lowest survival temperature given.
Well laid out gardens with beautiful views and a varied collection of exotic plants. The planned walk around the garden allows full access to the whole site.
Very nice gardens lots of unusual and interesting plants.Love very views over roscoff bay.Pity no refreshments but that's British I guess!,
the garden is so relaxing and beautiful,no pesticides plus a beautiful social project.A very special place to enjoy.terrific views of the coastline.Thank you, everyone!
Unusual collection of Plants - most unexpected in the position but well worth a visit. At the far eastern part of the Island.
This is a great place for a couple of hours. 26 sections of plants, mostly ones never seen in England. They sell bottled cold water and cans of lemonade at the entrance desk but no cafe. However, lots of benches enroute to sit and relax. only 5Euo per person - young children go free but not much for them to do.
