梅尔维尔博物馆

Not a big fan of museums but thought this might be worth a visit for an hour or so. How wrong can you be? It was fascinating, so much better than expected and the staff couldn't have been more enthusiastic. Everything is exhibited in an interesting way, enjoyed it so much I went back the next day.

Really worth the visit. Free entry, friendly staff, great displays in different languages that explain the history of the rock engravings in the Vallee des Merveilles.

The town of Tende, France is near the Valley of Merveilles and Mount Bego, north of Nice and near the Italian border. This area has the second largest population of rock art images in Europe after the Valcamonica in Italy. This museum features a selection of the local petroglyphs -- rock engravings -- but it has an extremely well-executed display that captures the sweep of Global Prehistory suited to all age groups. It is small enough that younger folks will likely not be intimidated. I consider this a fantastic find and we were only stopping for croissants waiting for the Tende tunnel to open.

If you can't actually visit the Vallee des Merveilles, this is a must if you are in the area. It is a well presented and modern museum that gives a insight into one of the most remarkable - and largely unknown outside of the area - sites in France. Clever reproductions of the rocks are presented and there is a lot of information about what the symbols might mean and comparing them to other sites across Europe.

For those interested in prehistory, this museum is a marvel. Coming from the Valley of Wonders is an excellent supplement that helps to deepen its site visit. Very interesting and a must see if in the area.

Beautifully presented, multi-lingual stories of the cave paintings of the Vallée des Merveilles in the Mercantour National Park, and the people who have lived and worked in this stunning area over the millennia. Admission free.

E' un piccolo museo sito sulla principale via di transito della cittadina. La visita è rapida e piacevole e adatta a famiglie con bambini. Sono esposti disegni rupestri ed allestiti diorami che riproducono la vita degli abitanti delle valli, con particolare attenzione agli albori della civiltà. Ospita anche esposizioni temporanee: in questo momento c'è un'interessante mostra sulla lana. Si visita in 30 - 60 minuti.

Ben organizzato, valorizza il territorio e le incisioni della valle delle meraviglie. Diorami, schermi, pannelli interattivi lo rendono adatto e interessante anche per i bambini. Bella la mostra permanente ma anche quella -temporanea - sulla lana in Europa merita! Ingresso gratuito e bookshop essenziale

Musée moderne, très belle mise en scène des divers objets, visite agréable et gratuite. A deux pas de la gare idéal pour attendre le train.

Les présentations sont très riches et originales. A visiter impérativement. De surcroît, c'est gratuit.

ce musée est un bon complément de la vallée des merveilles où l'on peut observer certaines pierres originales (la reproduction étant dans la vallée des merveilles)très belles expositions ludiques agréables nous avons bien apprécié l'ouverture non stop du musée et aussi sa gratuité

Le Musée est très bien équipé et très instructif. Il y a beaucoup de scènes, de textes explicatifs, de photos et de pièces.

Davvero carino questo Museo.L'accesso è stato gratuito. Non so se temporaneamente, per dei lavori in corso che interessavano la facciata, o se si tratta di un vantaggio permanente. Il personale parla italiano ed è molto gentile, cosa per nulla scontata in un paese di confine. Ci sono diversi modelli e diorama, suppellettili, e tutto il percorso verte a spiegare nel migliore dei modi sia la morfologia del territorio che la vita degli abitanti della Valle delle Meraviglie nel corso dei secoli. Non tutti i testi sono in italiano. Una piacevole visita che richiede circa tre quarti d'ora. Le mie figlie di circa 10 anni sono rimaste entusiaste. Bravi!
