virgin on the rock

It's a great view of the rocks and the sea, but the virgin it self, it's nothing special. Walking around the place is a pleasure!

From there you can the Atlantic Ocean with its waves and irreverence. It has a scary bridge! But it also has nice "natural stone sculptures".Very nice to relax.

You have not been in Biarritz if you have not walked to the Vierge. Exciting feeling to walk on the Eiffel iron bridge from the cliff to the small island, especially when sea is getting rough as it is just impressive to walk on the water. I recommend also visiting the place at sunset where you will have a nice view of the city and the distant mountains in the French (La Rhune) and Spanish border (Jaizkibel). Don't forget to check in at the Musee de la Mer on your way in or back as it is a must to see.

The bridge that gets you there is what's most exciting of it all. You basically walk on a bridge on the sea, with water and rocks on both sides. Once you get to the Virgin on the Rock, the view is great! Unfortunately it's closed to public for safety purposes when weather is bad so don’t hesitate to visit if weather allows it.

Lovely place for searching your soul and to feel connected with the nature. When I was there the ocean was really wild and you could literally see the power and the beauty of the nature itself.

The day we were there, the ocean was wild and the waves crashed all about. The little bridge to the rock was for the strong of heart only.

Lovely walk out to the sea. Beautiful scenery. Very popular with everyone. Accessible.The view is breathtaking. Not to be missed. I walked from biarritz. I am not sure about parking availability

You need to walk and visit the famous Virgin on the rock and get the excitment of walking above the sea on a bridge built by Eiffel (as in the Tower) to a small island surrounded by the mighty sea

This attraction gives visitors fantastic sunset views. There is a nice walk and the photo opportunities are fantastic

Great views and definitely need to visit it if in Biarritz but it doesn't stand out as anything amazing!

Don't get me wrong the long walk from town to the lighthouse is lovely and captures the essence of Biarritz. The very short walk along the metal bridge to the statue is nothing special, a much better view is from the lighthouse right across Biarritz. This isn't really a tourist attraction at all.

Good views of both sides of Biarritz. The statue is small. Best part for us was watching locals jump from the statue into the water below. Madmen. Nice walk to the statue.

Nice walk with beautiful views of the water and back at the town. The site itself will not be a lasting memory but it's surroundings will.
