Must visit if you're in the area. We parked the car at Via Punt la Reisga Flims. From there it is 40 minutes walk.

Just spectacular. A bit of a hike from Lake Caumasee but well worth it! The terrain is a bit taxing on the knees for those of us with touch of "oldtritis".

This has to be one of the most stunning views and viewing platforms in the Southern Alps - a platform in the form of a bird with wide wings hanging out over the gorge 1000 ft above the Rhein. On a clear day we were able to see the tiny speck of the Glacier Express crossing the gorge on a narrow bridge while buzzards flew overhead. Breathtaking.

If you are visiting the area, walk from Flims through the beautiful and ancient woods, studying the woodland carpet as you go. There are more varieties of mushrooms, ferns, moss and fir trees than I have ever seen anywhere. Then after an 1hr45min walk (ww walked slowly) you arrive at the view point at Conn. The 180degree view is breathtaking. Possibly 3,000 feet above the gorge?! 5* too for the local architect who designed the platform in the form of the wings of a bird.

Was quite a walk from our hotel but was worth it as the views were amazing! The platform itself is very clean and well maintained. We only saw one other person while we were there so we pretty much had the place to ourselves!

It's only a short wald from Flims but worth every step you walk.The view is simply amazing and breathtaking.Take your time to admire the landscape.

The platform is well maintained, you will feel safe on it. The path going there is pretty easy. If you want to have more swiss experience, you should rent the horse taxi.

Just 45 min from Flims, nice trekking to this site. Once you get uf this Platform, the outstanding view will let you breathless.The view of the Rhine that for years have carved the mountain's stone, the Swiss name it the Swiss Grand canyon.

Also seen from the local train journeys. Fantastic - don't miss this one - great views from the platform suspended above the Rhine.

The "Alta Ruina" is a spectacle well worth seeing. Sometimes referred to as the Swiss Grand Canyon. It;s a wonderful view overlooking the "Vorder Rhein". The start of the magnificent Rhine river!We came to Flims for many years for skiing and never knew it existed till we bought an apartment & spent extended periods in Flims.

If you come from the Cauma see, this is a great hike - very level ground so families and strollers can go, and about 45 minutes. The view into the canyon is great, however its not so easy for photos becasue of strong shadows in the canyon and many trees in the way. You can also get lunch or an ice cream at Conn, which is right next to the platform.

I know, it's not THAT big, but still impressive. This canyon is the result of a massive landslide thousends of years ago, that forced the river (Rhein) to dig a new riverbed into the cliff.

The walk through the forest to get to the viewing platform and the beautiful restaurant in the midst of the trees was special. The view from the platform itself was breathtaking.

If you are in this area of the Swiss Alps, Graubuenden, a short hike to this lookout is a must. Easy walk, 30-40 minutes each way.

Nicht für alle Leute geeignet. Für Höhenängstliche ist es besser nicht zu lange auf der Aussichtsterrasse zu stehen.
