golf club matterhorn

My son is a blooming golfer, or so he thinks. We were in Zermatt for 4 nights in the summer and thought this would be a great adventure. The people in Zermatt laughed at us, saying how in the world could they find such a flat place in all of the Swiss Alps to build a golf course. The fairways are in very good condition. The golf pro was quite helpful. They do have one cart for those that might need it. It is easy to walk. Holes are moderately challenging. We had the fortune of being caught in a torrential rainstorm but it passed quickly. The locals all had raingear. Must be a common event. Do not, and I repeat, do not, walk from the train station. Real mistake. it is two miles away. We had them call a cab to take us back the the train station. We can all now brag that we golfed in the Swiss Alps.

Wow, what a situation this course is in. Can't say I played it but I walked alongside a couple of the fairways which looked to be in pristine condition and had some awesome views. Maybe try and play it one day.

Words can't express how great my stay was at this hotel. It might not be your 5* hotel or the most conveniently located but it makes up for what its lacking in service! The price is good and they will go out of their way to pick-up and drop you off at the station. The food was more than great making the finding of this hotel similar to finding a gem in the snow. I travelled with a group of 9 and we all agreed that if we visit this country again we will only stay here. Well done to the owner and his wife!

Der Golfclub liegt zwischen Täsch und Randa und man kann den Spielplatz gut von der Bahn ansehen, den die Bahn teilt ihn auf zwei Teile, 7 Löcher links und 2 Löcher rechts. Von Randa geht es auch zu Fuss, wir haben Variante Täsch und Taxi gewählt. Die Schläger kann man mieten - sehr günstig (20 CHF) mieten und ebenfalls leicht bespielte Bälle. Trotz der Tatsache, dass es kurz nach dem WInter ist, ist der Spielplatz in einem ausgezeichneten Zustand. Es ist wirklich Genuss zu spielen. Jedes Loch ist nach einem 4Tausender Berg benannt und ist nich extrem schwierig. Trotzdem gibt es mehrere kleine Seen, die man ganz leicht trifft :-) ... Zu zweit bequem in 2 Stunden bespielbar. Nach Loch 9 gibts ein gemütliches Restaurant, das Prosecco toll gekühlt :-) .. Personal angenehm und hilfsbereit. Für leidenschaftliche Golfer eine gute Idee den Aufenthalt einmal anders zu gestallten.

Der Golfplatz liegt auf 1400 m zwischen Täsch und Randa. Man hat auf den 9 Bahnen jeweils immer die imposante Bergwelt das Mattertal im Blick, besonders das Kleine Matterhorn und das Breithorn. Besonders beeindruckend ist nach der Bahn 1, welche man die Vispa überqueren muss, der Abschlag 2. Hier wird erhöht, mit direktem Blick auf das Breithorn und den Golfplatz, abgeschlagen. Abwechlung bieten der Golfplatz auch mit einem Inselgrün und ist ein insgesamt gut und schön angelegter Platz. Insgesamt kann ich den Platz jedem Zermattbesucher nur empfehlen.
