Absolutely nice Restaurant with a very friendly staff. We had coffee and cake. Excellent coffee and very nice and freshly made cake. Price is good and not to expensive
lunch, coffee, drinks you cant go wrong here. The quality of the food is excellent, traditional cheese dishes or plenty of pasta to keep you going
The upstairs restaurant (since the recent redecoration) has lost a lot of it's charm and now resembles more of a "cookie-cutter" Zermatt restaurant rather than the old-style stube. The food quality remains the same, but the service is now bordering on poor (downstairs is an absolute shambles and should be avoided at all costs). There are far better places to eat in Zermatt if you're after simple local fair such as Roesti, so do avoid if possible.
Decided to experience our first 'fondue' at Pollux and we were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming, pleasant and happy to explain various aspects of the menu to us. The food was exception and plentiful, difficult to finish in fact because the portions were so generous. Great value for money, we would happily recommend Pollux to other visitors.
Very cosy and relaxed good service always busy. Good place to have a beer pre evening dinner in Hotel. Log fires good seating family run attention to detail. Favourite hang out for casual night out.
Friendly efficient service by waitress who seems to speak every language. Choice of breads, heaps of pickles for free and very generous portions of excellent home dried meat and fondue.
A cosy bar with lots of comfortable seating and a roaring fire.Table service is very attentive and the 'nibbles' which accompany drinks are a nice touch.
Went twice for early evening drinks and very much enjoyed the cosy, warm ambience. Service getting drinks at our table was very efficient but we did end up having to go to the bar to pay. They did seem a little understaffed for the number of guests but, having said that, it's easy to see why people flock here after a day on the slopes. Will return.
Visited the Chami bar in the Hotel Pollux several times in January 2014. It was always a popular venue especially on a Friday night. Nice open fire and very friendly bar staff.
We went just for a drink. Very very slow service and even slower to pay. While we were there two large Japanese tour groups came in to eat so this is clearly who they are catering to. Best avoided unless you are I'm said tour groups.
A wonderful hotel in the middle of Zermatt. Could see the Matterhorn from our room!Very comfortable hotel in the middle of downtown.
We arrived by car to Tasch to board the shuttle train to Zermatt. Upon arrival we called HOTEL POLLUX and within 3 mins a driver arrived to take us to the hotel just a couple blocks away. The owner greeted us and was very helpful in every way especially with food and directions. We tried the Raclette(a Swiss Specialty) was delicious. They also provided a very nice light breakfast in the restaurant. The hotel is very quaint with its own bar & restaurant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a low beam above the bed that was covered with bumpers to avoid head injury.
For a non-climber it was a challenge getting to the top and down again even with a guide. Still got the bruises from the abseling attempt.
Engaging entertainment, good music, lots of fun, fun, fun
