What a place, you can buy everything here, including the kitchen sink. Food areas beautifully clean, 4 different warehouses, lots of places to eat and drink. Plus as an added bonus, beautiful old vehicles, that you can hire out. Even shops in an old railway carriage.
Oh my God! What a discovery. I travel a lot, but have not seen anything like this. Excellent location - for shopping fans.
This is great! I love the Lithuanian cakes, strange looking but very tasty, love how cheap the grocery essentials are. I haven't purchased any presents from here yet but its all on my "I want that" list. One minus is they haven’t online shopping which would be great! This is like a huge Bazaar with international grocery items and low pricing!
We dropped in briefly to the market. I liked that it had a lot of fruits, vegetables, and various meats. I am guessing Lithuanians probably eat a lot of meat.
We drove there on a Saturday. Lots of cars and mass of people. It's a very popular place among the locals. We walked around for a couple of hours. Lots to see and buy. Highly recommended place to visit. A must see!
Urmas is one of their finest jewels in Lithuania!!!! I was in love with this place as I found there everything I needed AND for absolutely CHEAP!!! I promise I will come back
I was surprised by the size of the territory. It is enormous. It would take an eternity to walk through it all. I bought a nice souvenir and don‘t even know what they call it. It was a tall cake that looks similar to a baked Chrismas tree.
It's true - this place has a little bit (or a lot) of everything. I was skeptical at first. We stayed at this really awesome hotel called the Hotel Metropolis and they gave us a voucher for a free taxi transfer from the hotel to URMAS. From the outside, the building shocked me - the largest concrete hangars, a truest post-Soviet structures and process promising a lot of things. But when I went inside I realized what an impressive place it is.
The Central Market at Shopping Area URMAS is The Green market, farmers' market, fresh market -- whatever you call it, this is the places that make Walmart, Tesco and other supermarket chains including Lithuanian Maxima or Iki, look like crimes against cuisine
This place is enormous. When I drove into the parking lot, it seemed like it went on forever.I don't think I've ever seen so much variety. I felt like I could find almost anything. I especially enjoyed all the different sausages that they had for sale from the different vendors. I think to get through the whole place one could spend the better part of a day. Worth the trip just to see where the locals go to do their shopping.
There was a very strange but intresting event taking place. People were driving in with their cars and were selling their things staight out of them. My first impresion was – who will buy this junk. After two hours I bought some old DVD‘s and found some of my favorite bands on vinyl. It was similar to a Carboot sale in the UK
A good place just to shop for anything, wander around and search out what you need.Fish, meat and veg halls are good fun to explore.Has the hustle and bustle of a working market
