The Ion Creanga Memorial House is well known to fans of Ion Creanga's writings. It is a place worth visiting, if only to get a sense of how he lived as a boy. The one thing I did not like about the place is that it is newly refurbished and the sensation of being in an old peasant house is hardly there. Also, one hardly feels in the middle of a village, but rather on the outskirts of Targu Neamt city. However, a nice place to go, that I would surely recommend.

Really interesting to visit if you understand and have Romanian background. For a foreigner I recommend the theme park nearby - that's based on his books and you can see life as it was back then for the Creanga child.

Memorial House of the great storyteller Ion Creanga Romanian Humulesti district is situated in the town Targu Neamt. Once, Humulesti was a village. A foray into the world "childhood memories" the great storyteller. It is a place of relaxation and recreation and recommend visiting the museum goal all season. It's a place back with pleasure when I could.

I was a little afraid to go see it. I knew that the people didn't appreciated him until late in the 80s...I'm glad I went..the house it's very small, but near it they made a museum of all his stories and made it in real life...it was nice to remember them from when I was a child. If you are near the city, do not miss it. The entry fee it's quite small, 5 lei for the house and 2 lei for the museum.

The Memorial house of one of the greatest writers from Romania, who played a big role in romanian children's childhood is certainly a Must visit!near the memorial house is the theme park of his books, one of the favorite places for kids to be!

This is an interesting site to visit and you can get a feel for how Ion Creanga lived and worked in the house. There is so much history here, it is just amazing. The house is very interesting in terms of decor, interesting window frames and decorative touches.
