came here on family trip today (Sunday) lots of fun. there was lots to do for people of all ages. very educational. not somewhere we would visit often but with the changing attractin on the upper floor every so often will visit again in the future
I went here with my brother, sister-in-law, her sister, my 3.5 yr old nephew and 1 yr old niece. There were lots of fun things to play with and do together, and almost all of the activities were fun for both the kids and the adults. My nephew especially loved the mini-cooper in the kids area, and my niece loved the tiny dolls house town that was just her size! My favorite was the stairs that play music. We will definitely go back.
This is the place to go if you are in Belfast with the children. Science, fun, history, technology, play time, education, irish history, art, exercise etc etc - can all be had here for the kids.We recently visited W5 when the Starwars convention was on and although there was some queuing, it was really good. Lift access to all floors, plenty of things to see and do to keep the kids happy.Great place for children and I would recommend if you are visiting Belfast to take your children here.
What a magnificent venue for all ages! My four grandchildren now range from 17 to 7 years old and there are so many activities and interactions to keep their attention for a whole day. The younger ones just loved the water activities and the make believe shop while the older ones enjoy constructing a motorised vehicle which they can race round the track. I find it amazing that all the kids were able to spend such a long time there without needing their mobiles, tablets etc. proof that they were being entertained. We will return DV to W5 again this summer. 2 of my grandkids live in Dubai and despite the phenomenal action packed malls there, they always request to be taken to W5 when they are in NI for the summer. Enough said.
I took my daughter to Who,What,Why,Where and When or W5. She really loved it,as did I. In particular liked the Body Works display. An inspiration for young and old.
So much to see and do. Our 5 yearold grandson just loved it all. The climbing wall was his favourite as he had not seen it before. We do think the prices for accompanying adults is quite expensive. As senior citizens it cost over £20 before we even got in. Then lunch for us also as we were not aware packed lunches could be taken to the venue. However we had a great day watching him enjoy himself.
We spent 3 hours here and we could have spent a few more. It really is a must do for children. There is so much to see and do and interactive everything, that it is enjoyable for both adults and children. There's science stuff, make believe shop, garage, art, climbing area, ...and sooo much more. Highly recommend this place
We had a fantastic morning at W5. It was so active and kept us all entertained. It took a while to buy the tickets so I would definitely recommend arriving just as it opens!
Lots of interesting stuff to do, hours of indoor fun and absorbing activities that kept a family of 3 teenage boys highly amused.
Second visit to W5 with a 6 and 4 year old. Really like the new addition of the climbing area. My 4 yr old enjoyed the first floor and particularly the play Spar shop! My son prefers the upper floors which are aimed at older kids. Pleasant staff, clean, great facilities and eating area. Generally a good experience but there's always room for improvement!
