Lovely walk to Bracklinn Falls and beyond today. Children enjoyed the walk, which included spending an hour playing with the stones riverside. Lots of places to stop to have a picnic. Can complete a full loop back to car park. Free car parks in location.
lovely walk to Bracklinn Falls and Bracklinn Bridge from the lower car park. The Falls are fantastic, especially when the river is in speight and the reasonably new Bridge across is lovely. If you are ever in Callander, it is a "must" view!
We didn't walk around the Crags, restricting ourselves on this visit to simply going to view the Bracklinn Falls and bridge. The falls are wells signposted from town and are easily reached by road, and then a decent path through the trees. The road out of town is reasonably steep, so if you want to be lazy, or can't do steep climbs, note that there is a car park directly opposite the footpath to the falls (this is just a little further up the road from the first car park by the woods). The path to the falls is well maintained and easy to walk on, and there is only a short, moderate slope as you get to the falls. The Bracklinn Falls don't have a particularly high drop, which might disappoint some people, but certainly at this time of year there is an impressive flow of water through the steep canyon. The triangular bridge over the falls, which is a wooden structure, is both rugged and simplistic - and rather pleasing to the eye.
Did circular walk from car park above the golf course, over falls and up the other side of the valley coming back down the road, two hours clean under foot and amazing countryside....dogs loved it.(not too high but still got the views)
This walk is easy to find from the town centre as it is well sign posted. When we did the crags part we couldn't do all of it as there were many trees down blocking the route. However it did not matter the scenery in this area is stunning and the falls were definitely worth the walk.
Bracklinn Falls are a short distance walk from the town centre, along a minor road and well made up path. They are really impressive, particularly after rainfall when the volume and power of the water is truly impressive.Callander Crags are a short climb from Bracklinn Falls, and are well signposted. The path is a steep (and currently muddy) one but the views from the top amply reward the effort.
Nice, gentle walk that takes you to the powerful falls that are just absolutely stunning. Would go everyday if I could!
Had a lovely walk with my family to the braklin falls. Everyone enjoyed it as it was great for the young ones to run about, there was benched for the "older ones" and phone signal lol! Kept everyone happy. Beautiful views and it's just a great feeling to be walking within nature.
Our hike to Bracklinn Falls was one of the highlights of our trip earlier this month. The falls are so beautiful and the range of views on the way there were spectacular. The forest is so green and magical. There were gorgeous views of the countryside as well. The hike isn't strenuous so almost anyone can enjoy it.
Falls and natural greenery just behind Callander. Car park nearby, then short walk to falls, but easily reachable on foot from the town itself.
We visited here by chance after spotting the signpost in Callendar. The falls are absolutley stunning, and have apparently completley changed in the last 10 years due to flash floods. The bridge is awesome also, though quite new for the same reason as above. Worth a visit

So it took as 1-2h to get there and come back. Not too easy walk tho. A lot of nice views and a wee frogs!!! Worth going to see falls.
We had a few hours to kill so just walked up to the falls with were great.. The walk wasn't strenuous and the views were amazing.. There quite a few different routes you can take, either just an hour walking up to the falls or right past the falls and UP and then even tag on the Crags for a couple more hours treking.. We then walked into town and had lunch at Munchies cafe, amaziing shortbread !!
A lovely relaxing walk. Follow the road up until you see a sign for Bracklinn Falls. My partner had to turn the car around as we went into the first car park. The walk is well sign posted and an easy walk. We even saw a frog on the path! You will eventually hear the waterfall and it is absolutely stunning. The bridge is fascinating and we enjoyed reading the history about it. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
