We visited here this February. The Falls were fast and furious and a great photo take. My sister and her husband were here during last summer and they were able to walk out to the middle of the Falls. The winter snow and rains ensured a fast flow of water and one could only take photos from the bridge. On one side is the burial ground for the McNabb Clan. The other side belonged to another clan. A quaint little village really.

Really pretty falls, with chance to go to the island McNab cemetery from the bridge (key available from tourist information)

After visiting Loch Tay, one must travel back via Killin and see Dochart Falls. This is nature at its best, and is definitely one of the many wonders of the world. At present the snow is melting and fresh clear water rushes down these falls. What a spectacular site.

If you enjoy Scottish Highland Scenery, the rushing roaring sound of tumbling water, with access to the waters edge for some amazing photos, then Falls of Dochart should be on your places to visit. After the snow melt for lots of tumbling water, ....also less people around to spoil your photos, it can be busy in summer.

We've stopped to take in the beauty of the falls of dochart a few times now, and each time is as awesome as the last. I enjoy the history of the scottish clans, and seeing the gateway to the McNab clan burial site is an added extra. This weekend we saw a sheep grazing on the banks and that just completed the picture. You can't drive through Killin without standing on the bridge and admiring the falls - great photo oppurtunity.

Heavy rain, a storm, makes these falls the most spectacular sight ever and they were in full spate! Torrents of water rushing and foaming over boulders tumbling their way down stream, under the bridge and across the road continuing, evermore spectacular. We were part of this mindblowing sight on New Years Eve, accompanied with hundreds of people, waiting for the Bells and the amazing fireworks display. I hope the donation buckets were overflowing, like The Falls, because, well done to the Killin community for welcoming your visitors and sharing this with us, and to the two young pipers, who were also staying in the Killin Hotel, for their duet of 'Soldier Laddie' just added a lovely poignant touch.

We have just celebrated New Year in Killin, and went to the firework display at the Falls of Dochart. It was an outstanding experience, enhanced by reflections from the water. The falls themselves are beautiful at any time, however, so don't wait for another year to go!

A lovely spot if you like water which we do. We could go down towards the water but not with the dog. Looked like a nice pub for food but with the dog we could not go in.

The river Flows through the little village of Killin over some excellent rock formations. The road runs down by the side of the Rapids and falls, crossing over via a picturesque narrow bridge. When in full spate, the falls are spectacular - when the river is low to normal, less so. Although there are several places where you can get down to the river for close-up photos, getting a full picture of the bridge is not so easy, unless you want to take your life in your hands. Note that the folklore museum is closed over winter.

When we were there in December it was snowing and the Falls were breathtaking. The Killin Hotel was an excellent choice of hotel.

Stopped here for pictures of the falls on our trip to Loch Tay. Beautiful falls even with the low water level. Trying to imagine it with a couple days worth of rain. Gorgeous and peaceful. Wish I had stopped at the pub for a drink by the fire.

A must stop when travelling through, especially after heavy rain! The pub at the side is lovely with a roaring fire and lovely food.

It had been raining heavily for about 3 days when we visited and the scenery was amazing. The volume of water travelling through the fall was unbelieveable. Worth going to see.
