We have enjoyed the last 2 years so much. This year was still very good. We have recommended this evening so much that our party has increased to 20. From ages of 80 to 13. The one complaint was the break for buffet was much too long. Staff were helpful. Entertainment fantastic. But little touches were missing from last year. E.g. no piper.
We've been to this theatre several times in recent years, I've also worked behind the scenes here in the presentation of a couple of Christmas pantomimes. Most recently we were in the audience for a presentation by the Livingston Players of the ever popular Scottish musical comedy 'The Steamie'. The seating in the theatre was renewed a few years ago and is now pretty comfortable and it seems that the variable heating problems that existed in the past have been put right.
A converted cinema, the Regal is the artistic heart of Bathgate. It has a varied and interesting programme which is reasonably priced, and the auditorium is cosy and intimate. The venue is very well managed, and is becoming a social focal point for the town. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Went to see cinderella. Lovely theatre, great atmosphere. Staff helpfull and friendly. Definitely recomend u come see a show here
Is an average little place - no comparison to theatres in Edinburgh but they do what they can with limited space and resources. Prices reflect this. They do tend to cancel shows without notice though - never a reason given which isn't good for those travelling further.Would benefit from expansion and a coat of paint.
Regal Theatre ,such friendly people, visited from the U.S.A. and was able to meet Scott Kyle and his lovely Mother Joyce, and tour the building, next visit hope to catch a show...
We were a party of fourteen. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. From the red carpet, complimentary glass of sparkling wine, terrific group, buffet, piper and disco. We were there last Hogmany and had a good evening but this was even better. Can't wait until next Hogmany.
We enjoyed the band Heartbeat on Nov. 15. The theatre is small and intimate, with all seats providing excellent view of the stage. Seats are comfortable and provide good leg room between rows.
Amazing wee theater, in a gorgeous building! Seen quite a few things here, from the incredible comedy nights, to panto's, gigs and even bingo! Have never been dissapointed. Staff are great and bar prices cheap! Cant fault it!
Went to legends show here last night was a great night The staff were cheerful and very helpful bar prices reasonable Iwill def be back A great local night out
Had a fun evening at the regal last Saturday evening with a band called solid gold Scotland. They were fantastic! By the end of the evening most of us were dancing right in front! The regal is a quaint local community theater in Bathgate . If you're in the vicinity and there is a performance you're interested in, please go! It is well worth it! P.s. the staff is very friendly!
We went to see Craig hill here, it's the first time iv been in it since it was a cinema, it was smokey and the bandit I seen with my mum and dad. It's changed a lot, there isn't a balcony now. The chairs are comfortable and great leg room. Even the back rows aren't to far from the stage and the view was good. The sound was excellent to.The bar area was large, clean with great service. Everyone was very friendly.
You can afford to take your family to a panto here, small company but still able to make the children laugh as well as the adults attending.
The Regal will provide you with great acts - at a fraction of city prices. I have often been very disappointed with city centre events that cost 5 times what a gig here would be. Great building too. Good facilities.
Small and friendly theatre (200 tiered seats) which allows a good close atmosphere between performer(s) and audience. Good variety of shows/acts all at reasonable price. Small licensed bar, ice cream etc. Great times had with family and grandkids at Pantos, and for bands (Scocha, Skerryvore) and tribute bands (Bowie, Springsteen). Drams, dance, music, comedy ... it's all on at The Regal Community Theatre.
