Plenty to do even when wet, would love to come back with bikes when weather better as it was raining the day of our visit

Thank you very much for your review of your visit which I found very entertaining and informative! We do appreciate you mentioning the wildlife here. The Nightjars, Woodlarks and Dartford warblers are indeed very rare birds found in Swinley Forest. Swinley Forest is owned and managed by the Crown Estate and does include some fantastic cycle trails, so it is very popular with cyclists. Fortunately the forest is 1,000 hectares so although we are busy there is hopefully plenty of space for everyone!

First time visiting on a busy half term Thursday afternoon”Hello EmmaI am so sorry that you did not enjoy your visit during February half term. We obviously take safety extremely seriously and were monitoring the number of people in the exhibition that day. We always employ additional staff in the exhibition during holiday times, there were six staff in the exhibition (and extra staff on reception/coffee shop etc) but apologies if you couldn't see them. I am so sorry that you were only able to stay such a short time and didn't enjoy your visit. Thank you so much for your fantastic review of your time spent at The Look Out last Saturday. Just to clarify that if visitors go into the hands-on science exhibition, there is an entrance charge, but you can take the £2 parking off your entry fee (if you bring along the small ticket stub to reception. Apart from the car park charge, there is no cost to visit the play area and woodland. We do spend a large amount of time and money in cleaning and maintaining the play area, exhibits and centre, so appreciate you noticing that! It is unfortunately our busiest week of the year, as you mentioned it's half term. I am sorry you found it to be slow service in there. We really wish we could have a bigger coffee shop, as it could definitely do with being bigger. Since opening The Look Out in 1991, we have also opened up the Ice cream parlour which has helped having another till point, but it still means unfortunately that at times you do have to wait longer than any of us would like. I will pass on your comments to the managers of Refresh Cafe who manage the coffee shop here. Once again, apologies that you didn't enjoy all aspects of your visit.

Thank you so much for your fantastic review of The Look Out, I am particularly delighted to hear that we impressed your husband! I have to agree, we wish we had a bigger car park, and also a bigger coffee shop. Both are on our wish list! The Look Out is set in Swinley Forest, (owned by the Crown Estate), which is a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) so it's not very easy to increase the car park size unfortunately. Hello!Thank you for your lovely review of The Look Out and appreciate your excellent advice about bringing along wellies! I am so sorry you had to queue in the coffee shop for 30 minutes, that is really frustrating. We opened in 1991 and the numbers to The Look Out have hugely increased since then, despite opening another till in the ice cream parlour, we do regret that sometimes there is a queue. I am so pleased to hear you will be returning though and hope to see you again soon. Thanks for your time in reviewing your visit.
