clacton-on-sea beach

We love the beach, the 2 playgrounds along the seafront (martello area) are wonderful for keeping children happy. The sandy beaches have improved alot and its a joy to stroll along the seafront

Clacton beach really haas improved over the last decade and I think it now rates amongst the cleanest in the country. In the summer it gets very busy so best to head away from the pier if you want to find a bit of a quieter spot.

I love the beach at clacton. pure clean sand. lighthouse station at one end and pier at other walk along the promenade passing little tea and icecream parlours and quant cafes well mantained and brightly painted beach huts fab artworks painted on sea walls. brand new disabled toilets and shower. public toilets on beach and open shower area next to lifeguard lookout section.safe and friendly.

Beautiful and clean beach. Even the day after the air show the beach and path ways was clean & litter free.

A nice clean beach with sea water as clean as you'll find in the UK. I noticed a big improvement everytime I come back to Clacton on the general state of the area, and the beach is no different.

great beach, but stay to the right of the pier where its sandy! or head towards jaywick as it gets sandier and more empty.

great place for a day trip.friendly people good food lots to do i f you have kids.plenty of parking places good amusments

It's a shame really. Whenever the weather is hot there are just so many people down there. I know it should be expected as it is for some reason the place to go for a lot of people (mainly from London) but it's annoying that the people that actually live here can't even get a space to sit in the nice weather... It's hardly a special place to go but Clacton is my home.

The east beach is a bit rough, but travel to Holland on Sea and see the new beaches being built it will surely be amazing when completed mid 2015. The best beach is on the west side known as Martello Bay, a true family beach.

Clacton beaches are a mixture of sandy ones and pebbles. The kids will love the sandy beaches. The sea depth is a gentle slope so good for all ages without any major concerns about any accidents. Love it.

Lovely dip and great to see the improvements being made. Looking forward to returning soon and seeing the difference.

Everything lots of good shops lovely staff lots to see and do , nice beach lots restraurants on waterfront as well as hotels

had a walk on the pier, had fireworks on 1st November made it even better, rides amusements all what you want really

went in the summer and it was great fun with the kids playing in the sand had a sun bath me and the ms we will be coming back again.
