We booked this months earlier as it is difficult to get in. I was a bit concerned as this is not a cheap night out and we had to drive a some distance to meet friends. However when we arrived it was magical. The hall itself is beautiful. Everyone made the effort to dress for the evening so people were in black tie and cocktail dresses. We were greeted with a mulled wine and joined our friends in the drawing room in front of a roaring fire. We were then called through to the orangery which was just beautiful. The meal itself considering it was mass catering was very good. The evenings entertainment was also superb. The staff were excellent and attentive without being intrusive. Yes this isn't the cheapest night out but it is worth every penny. I would certainly want to go again.

The theatre company that perform here are second to none. Just watched Mark Inscoe who played Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady last summer as Capt. Von Trapp in the Sound of Music at the Curve Leicester this Christmas. What a great guy!!! Think I'm a little bit in love XKilworth House is the perfect place to watch a feel good and totally professional production every summer. Enjoy!!!

We have been to this little open air theatre on a number of occasions and have to say they put on a very good show. The production is good and the facilities are excellent.

The setting of the theatre is beautiful, hidden away in the woods. The shows are fantastic, west end performance but not west end prices.

I have been to quite a few productions at this brilliant open air theatre(although it is covered in case of inclement weather) and cannot say how good it is, I have seen west end productions and major artists and each time it seems to get better, you can stay for an evening meal at the hotel there or have a picnic on the grass before the production and enjoy a drink at one of the two bars inside.I cannot wait to get next years list of productions and book up as the seats go very fast.

Whilst not an avid theatre "goer" watching any performance at this venue seems to elevate it from a nice to a great experience, not sure if it is the many happy volunteers, the intimacy or the general setting but the buzz apears to be more pronounced than at places such as the curve, the ability to picnic prior to the show and the accessibility of parking are both bonuses, however poor weather would literally dampen your spirits.

Visited in July 2014 to see South Pacific Spacious and modern theatre nestled in the grounds of Kilworth House (which is also very beautiful!) Pre theatre drinks available from the bar behind the stage and the log cabin. Blankets on hire for £1 (all proceeds go to charity). Performance and productions are all excellent- highly recommended for visit! :)

Yet again we have been to this Outdoor Theatre and Hotel. The show 'Sister Act' was fantastic and we celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary by staying the night in one of their most magnificent hotel rooms. The whole experience was wonderful, the food and show were exceptional and the staff are just delightful and so helpful, they really made the occasion special. If you are looking for a truly memorable way to spend a special event of your own, keep a look out for the season of shows in the summer and individual performances throughout the year in the hotel orangery and try one of the premium rooms for your stay, you too will be delighted as we were.

A delightful venue, especially if the weather is good. However have no fear of raindrops as all seats are under cover, set in the woods (magical as you leave winding your way back to the car park down little lit paths) Great ambience adding to the feeling and the excitement that goes with being at an outdoor venue. Snug fleece blankets are on hand should you need them. The picnic area is lovely should you wish to eat al fresco prior to the show; alternatively pre-show dining can be experienced at the hotel which is also architecturally interesting. Walk in the grounds is a pleasant way to start off the evening during the summer months. Car parking easy. The staff are all incredibly helpful. Without exception all the shows we've seen have been to "West End" standards with top rate performers. Wide range of tastes catered for. A "must" if you are in the area or even if you have to travel

Possibly the most beautiful open air venue in the UK. Every performance has been superb and the casting and acting worthy of West End ticket prices. You will not be disappointed by your attendance at any Kilworth House show, I just hope I continue to be able to book a seat after posting this review! Superb! sums it up in one word!

As always, two fantastic shows again this Summer, both really enjoyable but in different ways. South Pacific was memorable because of all the songs we have all heard so many times before, yet were still fresh and well-executed. The music emanating from "the tent" was, as always, excellent. Sister Act was memorable in particular for the performances, especially that of the leading lady, who was superb. I do echo the sentiment expressed previously that the seats are getting increasingly uncomfortable, even though we take our own cushions, and it can get very chilly so it is necessary to hire a rug (money goes to charity so a win/win) and take a jacket! It would be very hard to beat this theatre as a venue and the quality of the productions makes it even more special.

We've been to two productions this summer: South Pacific and Sister Act. Both of them were excellent and provided first class entertainment. You need to wrap up well for the evening shows because even in summer the temperature can drop. Blankets are available for hire a £1. There are many picnic tables for use before or after the performances, alternatively the pre-theatre dining in the Orangery is very good. We stayed over at the hotel on both occasions, which is pricey but certainly adds to the overall experience. If you want to do the trip more cheaply there is a Travel lodge and carvery pub on the outskirts of Lutterworth.

We have been to kilworth house theatre every year since it started but this year was most disappointing, not the show, that was as usual brilliant. We had a bottle of proseco before the show started and for £26 expected it to be cool however it wasn't. The seats are most uncomfortable now and slope forward with very little padding. And most of all other idiot visitors talking all the way though and Being well intoxicated. This not kilworths fault I know but the staff there did absolutely nothing about it

No review as such , the setting , production , acting and effort were simply amazing , sister act on a whole new level , if you get to visit only one theatre show in 2015 make it here !
