My husband and I visit Arrow valley almost weekly because we look after our granddaughter who lives in Redditch. it is a fantastic oasis in the middle of Redditch. It has a lovely man- made lake which you can walk or cycle around which is flat and about one and a half miles long so it gives us or daily exercise. It has a lovely cafe where you can get a delicious hot drink etc with a lovely view of the lake. The playground for children both very young and older is quite extensive and even has exercise machines for adults!! Altogether is is a very pretty and peaceful park which is always a pleasure to walk round and we love it!

Big lake, good parking and very pleasant to walk around. Easy for wheelchairs/pushchairs. Cafe with nice view over lake. Does get very busy at weekends.

The park is easy to find with lots of parking spaces. There are playgrounds and paths leading in all directions. My grandchildren like to eat on the balcony adjoining the cafe to watch birds, anglers and boats. An excellent day out. The only thing I dislike is that my grandchildren best me on the exercise machines dotted around the park.

The lake is artificially made, and in its early days, felt just that. Over the years, as it's matured, the wildlife and flora has done well, and it all feels a bit more natural now. A footpath goes around the whole lake, which is fairly level, making it great for those who have mobility difficulties, children in pushchairs, or those who enjoy jogging. The walk takes about 20 minutes at a medium pace. The park has a very nice visitors centre with cafe, toilets, baby changing facilities, and a shop. The loos have been a bit untidy at times, but these have been on busy days, so I imagine it is hard to keep on top of this without a dedicated toilet attendant there all day. There is a really nice wildlife and sensory garden near the visitors centre, which children love. There are lots of geese and ducks to feed, so take a bit of bread when you go. If you're lucky, you'll see coots, moorhens, or even fish pop up to steal some crumbs. But do watch out for goose poo on the footpaths. There is an adults "playground", or outside gym near the visitors centre, which is brilliant. There is a lot you can do at this park if you're trying to get fit, and don't have the budget for a gym membership. The children's playgrounds are also really good, with an infants and toddler area (babies to 3), a more adventurous playground for junior school aged kids, and another one for older children. It has been well thought out, and there is plenty for them to enjoy. The only complaint is that the paint is chipping on some of the facilities, and there was some rust coming through on the tunnel that small children crawl through in the infant's play area. The play areas are overall very clean and free from rubbish, but I have seen bits of glass on a couple of visits, so like any playground, do have a good look around before you let your children go nuts! The park has other facilities such as an ice cream stand, and they run events through the year that are certainly worth looking out for. Overall, very good, and a nice place to take the family for an active afternoon out. The only down side for me, is that you do from time to time get potty mouthed lads and lasses swaggering about, trying to intimidate other visitors to the park, and there have been instances of flashers, etc, reported around this area. So I wouldn't let my kids go and explore this place on their own.

This is in the park which makes it very convenient when you are out with kids. Food not great but you can sit and look over the lake and the kids can sit down and have an ice cream. Loos available too.

Lovely place to stretch the legs around the lake whilst looking out for the wildlife. Often see herons, grebe, geese, swans & ducks amongst many other birds there. Yacht club there too plus a coffee shop for cakes & drinks. Ample car parking too and the walking can all be on the solid ground with option to go 'off track' if you like.

The lake has improved from over the years in certain areas but has lacked within others as the actual lake itself doesnt seem to be maintained as much as it did from years ago when there use to be a park keeper in some sense that made sure the litter around the lake was disposed of within the bins and not within the bushes plus he used to check on anyone who fished there if they had there license and generally kept the park peaceful for all to enjoy, but we dont seem to have one anymore and the other disappointing thing ive found within the center there use to be a little tuck shop of all trinkets and toys for all to enjoy which a lot of us miss which has been taken up by extra seating for the café which rarely from my view uses them which is a shame as the space could be used again for a little shop! Plus if your going to have a i believe its meant for customer service desk in there have someone behind it who can help people as me and my father who regularly walk with our dog around the lake has found on a couple of occasions that not all dog owners are sensible as weve nearly been either attacked or threatened by the owners due to their ignorance of having a pertentually vicious dog off the lead and has been nearly attacked twice because of it but when gone to the center theres no there that can help other than for you to call the police over the matter which i think is stupid when there should be a park ranger as such!

Regular visitor here with my little grandson. Great walks around the lake, where the children can easily feed the ducks and swans at different vantage points. Play areas to suit all ages. Visitor centre with good toilet facilities and a cafe. Perfect for dog walking too.

Only 10 minutes walk away for me & perfect for walking my 2 dogs. There are numerous paths & fields so you can plan any length of walk you like, depending on how you are feeling & there seems to be plenty of activities available for everyone.Highly recommend!

Visited Arrow Valley country park for a walk. The paths are all tarmac so ideal for walking in the winter months. There are marked routs to choose from with directional markers pointing the way. There is a visitor centre with a cafe (MR CREATON) providing food and refreshments. Toilet facilities. Very popular with dog walkers. Well worth visiting.

Fantastic open-space! the residents of Redditch are very lucky to have this space, pretty much ticks all the boxes for everybody, the facilities are extensive, and there was always something going on around the year roundWe love it !! especially for dog walking, lots of different trails and paths to take your dog on a stroll, also the lake there is a fantastic fishing spot and is frequented by me many times a year including the open matches they have their,

We often walk around the park, the lake is stunning and supports plenty of water birds. The lake is also used for the local sailing club so there is plenty to look out for.The children's swings and slides are always well maintained and well used. We also often pop into the cafe, which overlooks the lake. It is a very clean and tidy place and the staff are friendly.
