A great day out - our instructor Martin was very knowledgable both about the vehicle and demonstrated its capabilities very well. We learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed driving the car.

Well organised outfit with quality, well cared for vehicles. Martin, our instructor, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about both the land rover and off-road driving as well as the history of the local area. The driving experience itself was excellent. There is a variety of different obstacles and terrains to help demonstrate some of the things the vehicles are capable of. The 40 degree inclines and declines are nothing short of exciting! Definitely worth a visit!

I have had Defenders all my life - i did not know how to drive it until Andy from Peckforton took me and the Wife around the track and Quarry, Stafford Land Rover (Shawn)arranged the whole weekend at Peckforton Castle Hotel and the land rover experience, highly recommend.Andy

If you are staying at the Peckforton Castle make sure you try this event. The instructors were great and it is amazing what these vehicles can do.

This event was a birthday gift from my grown-up kids. The experience is a fantastic masterclass which demonstrates the awesome capabilities of a British engineering icon. The staff are welcoming courteous and exceptionally knowledgable.The only caveat I would add is that if you are not already the owner of a Landrover, this will make you very disappointed about the weedy performance of your own car.

Went recently for an afternoon Land Rover Half day Experience and the whole experience was not what I was expecting. This attraction is set in the beautiful surroundings of Peckforton Castle and the whole experience was a slow drive round the estate on a sandstone gravel pathway that did not need a 4x4 vehicle of any description to navigate. To drive through a muddy puddle did not need a lecture on why the car needed to be put into its special drive mode of "mud and ruts" and only drive at less than 5 mph the whole time.If this course is to be any use it needs to re design itself to teach people who to really drive in situations where a 4x4 vehicle is needed. Create some proper mud ruts and a sandy area so people can learn how to navigate terrain the may encounter in real life with such a vehicle. The actual rock crawl that has been created in no way matches real life because most people are not going to take their expensive cars to a situation where they are driving over a rock face on 2 wheels. Leave this to the Paris to Dakar boys who have teams to repair any damage. The afternoon is good fun if you want an afternoon in the countryside but doesn't live up to its title of an "experience". The only experience was a slow saunter round some beautiful scenery but not how to drive a 4x4 in situations which you might find yourself in. As unrealistic as the course is though, it was great fun at the end to see what in reality these cars are capable of as I wouldn't believe a 3 ton car could hold itself virtually vertical of a rock face. Only go to this if you have free time and have been given a complimentary entry as a result of purchasing a Land Rover. On its own its not worth the £225.00 entry fee.

A well organised and well run experience! Learned so much about the car! My boys totally enjoyed it! Peckforton castle is really special place and worth a visit! We were greeted on arrival in pleasant surroundings,with a cup of tea, the safety briefing was easy to understand. Our instructor Ed was brilliant, he had prepared the car,showing of the pre heaters, the vehicle was warm and inviting!!!(once we got in the right car...ed!!! Ehhh) Ed the instructor was fantastic and we found the knowledge he provided was very informative! The car itself is a fine piece of design and engineering, Ed showed is the many features that you would never come across at a dealer! As I said at the time we learned much more about the vehicle than we would of ever learned at a dealer! All in all my boys and myself had fabulous day! Thank you!!!

Visited the landrover experiance today and came away amazed. Martin, the instructor was great and really knows the limits of these wonders of engineering. Can't recommend it enough, just want to go back for more. Kids even sat in tge back and loved every minute of it.

Landrover make fantastic products, now experience what these vehicles can actually do!!! I've driven a whole host of vehicles from trucks, super cars to high performance motorbikes, but this is something else!! Right from the start of the introduction, your made to feel at ease, the Scottish instructor (10/2) was knowledgeable, yet clear and all without the need to appear to be anything other than informative throughout. Driving one of the new Range Rover vehicles was well better than I ever imagined it'd be, the comfort, the kit and the ability to handle terrain initially you'd think no way this can handle that... Put simply, just do it!!!!!!!!

Really enjoyed our experience and learnt a little more about the capabilities of the vehicle. Our instructor Don was very knowledgable and we really enjoyed the experience especially in the quarry.

Finally got round to doing the landrover experience having had our Discovery for a year. Had a brilliant time and my wife and I wished we had done this a year ago. Our instructor Martin was excellent, explained things clearly and in a nice, professional and enthusiastic way. We understand so much more what our Discovery and it's key fob can do and improved our 4x4 driving skills. Beautiful area and hotel and would definitely like to come back.

Had a great day with Martin our instructor who is very knowledgeable. Showed us what our Range Rover capable of doing and some of the smaller things like key fob operation and rear door changing height etc. Now more knowledgable and confident when driving in the snow.Thanks Martin for a great day

The accompanying driver was very knowledgable and talked us through all the terrain. We came away with more confidence of our driving skills and with an enthusiasm to go again.
