The building is impressive indeed, but the ground floor is not ready and there is still lots of contruction sites around it. If you go there, stop by at New York Hotel to worth a visit to Katendrecht.

Very modern city if you compare it with Amsterdam. But it has his own beauty.Also open on Sundays and there was a christmasmarket at the time we were there ( december 2014 ). Very good atmosphere!

One of the nicest buildings in Rotterdam with a great view from the top floor. The NH Hotel is also in the hotel besides a restaurant and several offices.

This is the biggest building in the Netherlands, designed by the infamous Rem Koolhaas. The three towers house civil servants, offices, apartments and the NHOW Hotel. In spite of its size it is very slick, stylish and accessible. We stayed in the hotel, which was an amazing experience: fantastic views over the city. Visit the lobby or the bar!

Rotterdam is an explosion of modern architecutre. This maybe be one of the most questionable designs when it comes to logical thinking. How is this possible?

This brand new building (completed in 2013) attracts a lot of attention on the Wilhelminapier and in the skyline. It's a massive building designed by world famous architect "Rem Koolhaas" which attracted quite some attention of the international press. You can visit it via De Rotterdam Tours and it houses offices, apartments and a hotel (nhow Rotterdam). When taking its volume and floor space into consideration it's the bigges building in the Netherlands. You get a nice view on the building when crossing the Erasmusbrug or watching it from the other side of the river (for example from the Veerhaven or Westerkade). You can also visit the roof terrace of the nhow hotel inside the building for free and have drinks, lunch or dinner. It's an impressive modernistic building, while on sunny days you can see the reflection of the Erasmusbrug on its surface.

Als je nog nooit een cruise hebt gemaakt is het leuk om eens rond te kijken op zo'n groot schip, maar als je de ervaring van een cruise wel hebt, dan is het een saaie levenloze boot zonder sfeer.

Dit gebouw doet je denken aan bijzondere gebouwen zoals men ze vaak in ultra moderne steden ziet. Waar alleen architectoische hoogstandjes staan.

Moet je een keer gezien hebben. Leuke verschillende rondleidingen te doen. Je kunt het hele schip bezichtigen. Mooie zalen en restaurants die je voor speciale gelegenheden kunt afhuren. Er is ook een hotelgedeelte op het schip. Je logeert dus in een echte hut op een cruiseschip. Alles is nog in originele staat. Zeer de moeite waard om te bezichtigen.

Rotterdam, conforme descrevi no título, realmente é a cidade mais democrata que conheci.Quase 100% das casas e apartamentos, são construídas praticamente no mesmo estilo, para que não haja ostentação. Porém, o centro, é maravilhoso. Arquitetura super moderna, com prédios maravilhosos. O comércio é simplesmente fantástico. As lojas mais famosas do mundo, com preços super acessíveis. Seus cidadãos são muito atenciosos, educados e sempre fazem o máximo para te atender ou te ajudar, se necessário. Todos eles falam o inglês fluentemente, então, para quem possui pelo menos o conhecimento básico no idioma inglês não encontrará nenhuma dificuldade para comunicação. Visitas imperdíveis: O centro da cidade, a ponte da Rotterdam e o parque dos moinhos antigos, entre uma infinidade de outros. Resumindo: Maravilhosa e imperdível.

Bezoek gebracht aan SS Rotterdam. Tour gedaan, nostalgie. Onder vrijwilligers, heel vriendelijk, nog mensen die op schip gevaren hebben. Mooie en trotse verhalen gehoord.
