An hipster area with an amazing view over Lisbon Tagus River. Sit down if the grass, grab a beer and enjoy the random music portuguese imigrants play in this beautiful place
As others have said, one of the better viewpoints in Lisbon, with a nice little park and a café. Best reached by the funicular from Restauradores. The tile-panel guide to the skyline is quaint but sadly out-of-date!
This Miradouro is great as it also has some park / gardens on top of the great great great view. The atmosphere is great an we stayed quite late although I would be more careful if alone, especially if you are a girl (sadly) as it is not completely visible from the street. As usual with Lisbon sights, worth the walk!
Lovely view, use the funicular to get up there and take plenty of pics. After go on the pavement at the rear and down the slope is the Instituto dos vinhos do porto. Read about it elsewhere, that alone is worth the trip.
If you go to the Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara you will have one of the beutiful view over the city of Lisbon... definitely worth the visit.. If you do not want to walk to the miradouro you can get the Elevador da Gloria that departs from Praca dos Restauradores and have a different transport experience...
We went here during sunset time.It is a nice place to see overall Lisbon city from here. You can see Castelo de Sao Jorge also in other side. The best way to come here is by using the famous Elevador da Glori from town around Restauradores metro. From here you can go enjoying Bairro Alto area.
one of the best spots in lisboa! you can sit here and enjoy a lovely view over this awesome city. get a drink and sitting here in the evening. but be careful
Found this viewpoint by chance after riding on the Elevador da Gloria. Lovely views across to the casle. The viewpoint has two levels of gardens with benches and the upper level also has a small food/drink stall.
I stumbled upon this overlook after dinner when i was wandering around Lisbon to take night photographs. It provides an amazing view over the city with a fantastic view of the castle, especially at night. Nearby there is a small garden terrace, beautiful fountain and one of the neat trams to take you up and down the step hill, where you can get a view of Lisbon's modern urban art gallery. A neat site to see as well. One of my favorite parts of Lisbon. Safe travels!
One of the best views in Lisbon!! Unlimited view in the castle of Sao Jorge and the downtown center! Many benches to sit and relax, especially in the summer, autumn and spring times, Also a very nice quiosque to sit and have a nice drinl. Enjoy
This is one of the nicest lookouts in Lisbon. It's set up in two tiers and both are dotted with benches, so there is plenty of space to sit down and relax. On the upper level, there is a small snack bar. This lookout is close to Barrio Alto, a happening neighbourhood in the evenings, so if you come here in the evenings or weekends, expect lots of activity and large groups of young people singing and playing guitar. The view of St.George Castle is magnificent and the river is visible as well, so it makes for a very nice photograph. One may bring some picnic or wine here and just sit and enjoy the view. Very lovely. There is a funicular very close by, so one can take it up and end up close to the lookout. Because of the lights around St. George Castle at night, this lookout is even nicer in the evening - go both during the day and in the evening if you can. I've attached a few photos taken from this lookout. For more photos, you can see my entire Lisbon album at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/little_baklava/sets/72157648122958913/
Beautiful viewing point, definitely worth a visit for sunset. Cafe where you can order a delicious hot chocolate or giant gin & tonic!!! They have other beverages but they were my favourite! Bring your camera!
Classic view from Bairro Alto over the city to the Sao Jorge Castle. Worth the climb or take the funicular.
One of my ultimate favorite views and a great place to kick back for a coffee or cappuccino and gaze ahead at the gorgeous hues before your eyes .Don't forget the lower level and while in the neighborhood, hook a ride downtown on the trolley. .historic and fun!!
