The best vie of Porto, in my opinion is from jardim do Morro, but the view from Miradouro da Serra do Pilar is also great.

Be there at sunset.It's the most beautiful view to the river Douro and the city. Then cross the bridge and get a drink in "Ribeira".

Take the Metro out of city centre of Porto, leaving the tunnel and directly crossing the bridge with a wonderful view over the river. Leave the tube at the first station after the bridge, enjoy the sightseeing at Miraduro da Serra do Pilar and walk back on the bridge. This is one of the Highlights.
