Love this place I come to alvor all the time and this is my favourite bar. Great atmosphere and the staff will take care of you. :)

Sports Cafe plays great music, has great offers on drinks and all the staff are friendly and fun. Perfect for a holiday night out.

We visited the sports café as a pit stop during the daytime with young children, although it does look like the place to be of a night time too :) Lovely place friendly staff. We stayed here to shelter from the random down poor we endured during our holiday :)

We have been visiting Alvor for 8 years and discovered the Sports Café about 4 years ago. Staff are so welcoming and remember us from previous years - particularly Luis and Nelson. Sadly Diago has left and Alex is on his way to the UK - I'm sure he will regret it!! We're already looking forward to next year!

I come to Alvor every year with my friends and we always end up in sports bar. Great music and always great fun. Also Nelson is my favourite person ever :)

I was in alvor for 6 night's, we said at the beginning that we'd try different bars each night but without failure we showed up in sports cafe every night, great place, great atmosphere and I'd highly recommend it, staff are unreal too, Pedro is literally the best bar man in the world! We'll definitely be back!

I love this place I go here with the girls every year and it's probably the best place to go in Alvor, great nightlife and drinks. Also, Nelson the barman is the greatest man in the world.

When we first arrived in Portugal, we were adamant not to visit all of the typical 'English' bars. That is, we wanted to experience local culture and avoid spending our evenings eating chips and drinking Carling. We thought that the Sports Cafe might be a bit too close to home, however we couldn't have been more wrong. The place had a great atmosphere that stayed true to the Portugese experience. The staff were so friendly and skilled at making different drinks. And yes, the bar did attract a lot of Brits, but it was more diverse than expected. The music was great, and every time we went in there we had a great night!

I would most definitely recommend the sports cafe for couples and families - staff welcome you as family, brilliant atmosphere

The sports cafe alvor is a must go if you are visiting the algarve, the staff are friendly, funny and easy to get along with, the atmosphere is amazing and you can't beat it when the footie is on! It's not just for sports it's easily as amazing when no sport is on and just for a drink, be sure to say hello to lewis he is an ace guy! Check out the cocktail bar and the steak house opposite the sports cafe because it's owned by Lewis aswell and they are both equally fantastic!!

Service ,sports, great music and atmosfere , nelson at the door get's the crowd (especially the girls) going crazy ... Love it and always be back

Since our last visit four years ago this bar has undergone a refit and is brilliant for sports tv, probably has a dozen or so screens showing football, rugby, golf etc.Staff are friendly with special drinks deals.Also serves as a great party bar into the night.

We were there in the middle of October 2013 and it was great, it is a real party bar and the staff are good fun. We were very very loud as a group and they were fine. Great Karaoke, live foorball & cheap drinks....what more could you ask for....
