塔拉克考古遗址群

复活节那个周的其中一天,我们带着两个孩子一个7岁、一个11岁去这里参观。老实说,我们本来对这个地方不抱很大的希望,但是去了之后,我们在那里玩得很开心。最让人难忘的是站在塔拉克考古遗址群顶上往下看,你可以看到圆形剧场和全市镇的风景,很壮观。下面是一些给小孩玩的隧道,你可以坐那种小火车回去,那种小火车是环城的。

Wonderful collections of Roman artifacts, sculptures, mosaics, and such. Very much worth a visit. It's educational, with good explanations of everything on exhibit. Not expensive to enter. The building is pretty too, with good views from the upper windows over the sea. Highly recommended for history and archaeology buffs.

If you're into museums you'll like wandering through the rooms of the Museu Arqueologic: there's plenty of statues, mosaics, everyday utensils and sailing devices from Roman times.My only complaint about it is that it's an old-fashioned museum; it hasn't changed much since I visited it for the first time over 20 years ago and it's not one of those museums with interactive activities, so I guess children may get a bit bored after a while.

Great place to visit. You can access the roof and look over the town and over towards the harbour. Steep stairs but there is a lift some access for disabled is available also.

Beautiful building, short informative introductory film about Tarraco/Tarragona available in several languages, a wide variety of exhibits so everyone should find something to interest them, and well lit displays.We particularly enjoyed the mosaics and glass.Spent around an hour there.

The museum is really nice. They have some wonderful and interesting objects there. So if you have the time and are interested in archaeology you should definitely visit it!

What a museum. It will give you an idea of how much Roman influence was in Tarragona. The archaeology pieces found in this museum can tell some history. So many things to see and learn here. I could not imagine how old all these pieces are. That's real archaeology!

Try this one on for size. The beauty of Tarragona,its magnificent situation on a rocky promontory above the sea and its gentle climate makes you understand why Jupiter left Tiria,his chosen one,because he fell in love with Tarragona. I agree with Jupiter but for less empathic urges. Even to this day its possible to explore the attractive passage archeological that showcases the preserved wall that surrounds the acropolis. The resilience of the mosaic floors at the open-air digs and at the museum highlights how durable this form of craft is. The most exciting monument in Tarragona is of-course the Roman amphitheatre designed to fit into the hillside,with an arena,the cavea,the auditorium,the orchestra,stage and my favourite word,Vomitoria (exits). Outside the ancient city centre,more monuments exert a decisive influence on Tarragon,like the Calle Lleida where stumps of columns and colonnades survive in the blazing sun. it reminds me of cesaeria in Israel with the bay of blue-green water and the colour of bleached stone-works so vivid.

We thought this was included on our multi-site ticket, but it wasn't, although the day we visited it was free anyway. Good mosaics and some interesting artefacts

Great value and all within walking distance. There are probably 5 or 6 ancient roman sites in this former Roman Capital city that you can easily manage to see in a day. The Roman Theater, Roman Circus, Roman walls, forum and amphitheatre are the best things to see and easily managed by walking around the city. It really humbles you if you're from the USA as everything you see is older than our entire country. Made the statue of liberty (which we visited on the same trip to Spain) seem really anticlimactic. Way worth the $$.

Spread out over several floors, this museum is constantly interesting. The views of Tarragona from the top of the museum are vast. At every corner there are diagrams, so that you know what it is you are looking at from the roof top. On each floor there are interesting exhibits of Tarragon's ancient Roman past.

Staff very helpful. Lots of excellent free information in English and other languages. Several floors of good exhibits, some fantastic individual items and fantastic mosaics. Well worth the two hours spent there.

This is a nice compact museum spread over three floors, giving a peak into the development of various art forms of the Roman times. It has a unique small Romantic museum within it, well worth a visit! I was reminded of the sculptures of Khajuraho, India. The mosaic and sculptures are well preserved and show the advanced state of artistic mindsets in that era. The staff are helpful. The small audiovisual film showing the history of Tarragona of that period is informative and crisp. It lasts 12 minutes and can be seen in the basement auditorium for free. However, you have to buy a separate entrance ticket as this museum is not covered in the all museums s ticket.

this museum reflects the city history from Roman times with a projection room showing a short film depicting the creation of old Tarraco (as it was originally called). it bears three floors of statues, coins, jewelry, mosaics, columns, etc. on top of this choose a Tuesday to pay a call as it's free admittance on this day
