Had a great morning at the Biopark, saw some great animals.. The monkeys were very cheeky which was brilliant to see! would highly recommend
Well worth a visit nice to see the animals so close very nicely looked after and very clean, well worth a day out cannot believe it's in the centre of town. The bird of prey display was very good with birds of prey flying across our heads was nice how the children got involved too the only down side the steps to sit on we're cold and very uncomfortable. Shall go again.
Been to the bioparc today and I wouldn't have missed for anything. I have been to many zoos over the years but believe me it's in a class of its own.The premises are extremely clean and animals well looked after kept as close to their natural habitat as possible. If you get chance stay for the bird of prey display its worth throngs in its self. Well worth a visit.
We have visited Fuengirola over the years but have never been to the Bioparc. We had a cloudy morning on this holiday and decided to go to the Park,Please if you have a few hours spare visit, it is so unusual in the setting you feel if you are in the middle of a Jungle. The Animals are so varied from Silver Backs to Comodo Dragons. Something for all the family plus a Tapa Bar to stop and refuel.
The zoo is very clean and has a great ambience. It's like you're in africa! We had a tour and then we could see the maki's from very closeby: fantastic! It almost look like the animals live in their natural habitats ! Bioparc Fuengirola is not very big, in 2 hours you have seen the whole parc. But I really recommend it!
Visited this zoo and had a great time. It isn't so big but has lots of animals and a free live show that runs every 30 mins I think.Excellent way to spend an afternoon with kids.WIt was clean and tidy.
Booked through the Thomson Rep so got a cheaper price than pay on the door & a free drink. All animals are in enclosures rather than the old fashioned cages. Each enclosure had a notice informing you about the animals. A visit is a very pleasant way to spend a about 3 hours. You will have your photo taken on the way in, but there is no hard sell to purchase on the way out. The place was very clean.
We really enjoyed the Bioparc. It has a massive selection of animals with lots of interesting information boards up so you can read about them all. We especially enjoyed going into the lemur enclosure.
Im sorry to say but Im not in favour of zoos at all even though I know that many zoos have reproduction projects etc. However, for a zoo its is acceptable. It has been thought out well and at least they are not in cages like a lot of zoos in this world. It would be a nice morning or afternoon out for a family. I took my daughter and she loved it but most kids do, dont they? Anyway, as I said for a zoo its acceptable.
We went to the Biopark with friends, on recommendation of our son and his family... It was a brilliant few hours entertainment. Amazing animals, especially Ernst the Silverback, the chimps and the Lema's. Booked through Thomson (as over 65's ) much better value than paying on entrance to the park. Well worth the money. A nice cafe there too, not too expensive.
Awesome...well worth a visit! Lovely surroundings for all the animals. If possible try to go early. We went early Sunday morning and by lunchtime when we were leaving it was manic...however I think a lot of Spanish people would go on a Sunday. Didn't try any of the eateries as we were going out for lunch but didn't seem too expensive for a captive audience.
Pick up discount tickets from the myramar shopping centre next to toilets as you get 2 euros off per person, so we'll worth it, zoo is clean and the animals look well looked after with quite big enclosures. Play area for kids next to restaurant and quite a good range of animals, reptiles etc. A lot of shading as well so would be good in summer also.
You may think this is pricey but it really isn't. It's a great experience - take your camera. This is such a lovely zoo. It is beautifully laid out with a great use of space and animals well-cared for. There is good information about each of species in different zones. I especially loved the 3 coloured squirrels and the orang-utans.There are regular talks and events held here. Cafes are reasonably priced with excellent home-made pizzas and ice-creams etc. There are discounts (proof needed) for the over the 60s and full time students. It is possible to buy the tickets for Bioparc with your tickets at the Renfe train station (I believe there is a discount on the travel but the Bioparc is a good 20 minutes walk from Fuengirola train station, so not sure how this is managed).
Very good smaller zoo although entry fee of e19.50 I found expensive. We were a family of two adults and a 12 yr old and it was the same price for all of us.The child prices are for children up to 9 yrs.
Amazing little zoo and very central, Very well layed out and the enclosures were well designed. A good selection of animals which all seem very well kept. One of the best zoos i've visited!!
