I visited this bodega as part of an excursion with Trippyvines. This was the fist bodega we went to.Gemma the owner was fantastic explain why they choose Ronda for the their bodega. She explained the process from planting the vines to the finished bottle. We then went to the tasting room for some samples with tapas.Really enjoyed it and bought some bottles from the shop. The white chardonnay Cloe was my favorite.
We had a memorable time being shown round. We were served tasty tapas and tasted he produce. There were only two of us and all our questions were answered in very clear English. The wine is beautiful.
My wife, her parents and I spent an afternoon with the owner Gema touring vineyard, understanding the difficulties and benefits of growing grapes in Ronda, understanding their process, and finally sampling her food and wine pairings. It was a sunday, without much notice, and our guide managed to get us in to visit. We enjoyed the wine and their familiy story, and I'm now ordering 2 cases as gifts for our family to celebrate our trip to Spain. It was a great experience.
A group of 11 of us spent the day visiting the lovely bodega. We were shown around by gema who was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions. After a tour of the vineyard and a lesson on how the wine is made we sat down to try the wines with some traditional homemade tapas-which was beautiful. We really enjoyed our experience and the wine we tasted, especially the Doble 12 which we couldn't resist buying a few bottles of!
We drove there from Sabinillas: a long drive on mountain roads and of course we got a little bit lost. Actually it's easy to find if you follow the directions on their home page. The host was very friendly and we had a tour in the winery. The host had a strong Spanish accent and her English wasn't that good, that meant it was sometimes hard to understand her. The wines and tapas were excellent and we bought a few of them. Only to find out, that the same wines were a little bit cheaper in the city of Ronda. All in all, would recommend a visit!
Have just spent a fantastic morning with nine friends, visiting this beautiful bodega. Our guide, Gema, was very knowledgeable ... and her English is a lot better than my Spanish! We were lucky to be there on the very day that the first Merlot grapes turned from green to red -- some could be ready to harvest in the next two to three weeks. We enjoyed some superb wines (as well as some delicious tapas), and could not resist buying a few bottles on the way out. Highly recommended - but you have to contact Gema in advance to make an appointment to visit.
the last month I was in BODEGA DOÑA FELISA. we spent a lovely day in a beautifull place.the host, Gema give us a big tour of the vineyard and a nice tasting with a beautifull "tapas".Was a perfect experience! I will recommend to my friends.Thank you for make us feel like at home.
4 sisters from the USA arrived at Bodega Dona Felisa and were greated by a wonderful host, Gema. Although there was a little bit of a language barrier,(Luckily we had a personal tour Ronda tour guide, Pablo from Red Label Experience who could translate for us) Gema took the time to give us a detailed tour of the vineyard and wine making process. We were treated to a wonderful wine tasting paired with delicious food. We bought several bottles of wine to enjoy during our stay in Spain, and are hoping to be able to find them in the USA. I highly recommend visting this vineyard.
Very pretty place with a lovely patio. I could live there!
doña Felisa it is about 25 km from Ronda , it wasn´t that far if the road was confortable however the road is full of pot holes that makes the trip it will never end .Once you get there it Is not worthy because the place it is just ok and the wine just right . I recommend other places to go in Ronda instead of spending there the whole morning .
Hi, we have been in Ronda a couple of weeks ago, we visit the city, which is all right, looking something different we found out some wine yards outside the old town of Ronda close to the Romans ruins of Acinipo. there is one called Bodega Donia Felisa, quite nice i have to say. We met the owners previous booking by phone, arranging a wine tasting, not too cheap not to expensive, including some home tapas. The wine was.let me tell ya..Fantastic, different types, amazing place. Also include a tour of the facilities, the best was the barrel room, with background music.A friendly and impeccable in which we enjoy from beginning to end.
