Best view in town; can get busy at the weekend; and the locals like their cannabis cigarettes; so if that doesn't put you off it is well worth the visit.
The plaza in front of the church has amazing views of Alhambra and the usual assortment of musicians and vendors.... the views from the top of the bell tower are worth the entry fee.
It is a nice and relaxing plaza in the top of the city with the best views of the Alhambra. Not of easy access. There is a lot of street selling but is not anoying at all. Surounding bars are not cheap at all.
Long walk up to get a fantastic view of Granada. Good for walking off the tapas and wine. Nice view. Plaza can be crowded.
From here, you get a beautiful view of Alhambra. The view gets even more fantastic at dusk, with the crimson light. When we were there, there were some stalls selling local products and buskers to make it a hive of activities.
had a lovely morning sat in the plaza looking at the Alhambra and watching people. Small stalls there too
The plaza itself is nothing special, but the view to The Alhambra and Granada's city center is amazing. This is something you do not want to miss if you're visiting Granada!
Definitely a must stop for teas, spices and people watching. Enjoy a cerveza from one of the many cafeterias and restaurants.
We walked to Plaza de San Nicolas prior to visiting the Alhambra and the view was really amazing and well-worth the hike up the hill. Some guidebooks seem (at least to me) to really take pains to caution people not to try the walk. Everyone should consider what is comfortable for them and it is definitely uphill and you need to be very attentive to signs, but as someone closer to 70 than 60 and used to walking, I found the walk to be a great deal of fun, with many good vistas on the way. On arrival, the views were really priceless.
We made our way to Plaza San Nicolas for, as everyone does, glorious views of the Alhambra at sunset. We settled into our restaurant, enjoying salad and bread and wine as the sun set and the Alhambra began to glow.
Fantastic views of the Alhambra spectacular at sundown when the spotlights aluminate the Alhambra well worth a visit
A walk up through the Albaicin (or red bus) to San Nicolas is rewarded by this amazing view, probably the most photographed and painted view of the Palace, across the valley. Nearby bars and restaurants make the trip even more worthwhile and a slow meander back down will bring you to fascinating old parts of the city (try to find 'tea street') where you may well see donkeys being used to carry cement/ballast through the stepped narrow lanes.
I liked the live music being played in the Plaza and the spectacular views of the Alhambra. This is a great place to get your photo taken with a backdrop of the Alhambra and the city below. Beautiful stonework around the church.
An energetic walk up the hill, but what a great view of Alhambra. Lively but not noisy.Might be a challenge for people with poor mbility
The best place to stop and take pictures of the Alhambra, and the surrounding neighborhood is also pretty and interesting to walk around. It is very crowded, but people were polite about giving others the opportunity to get photos. I highly recommend going at sunset.
