went for an afternoon at the spa- staff was very friendly- but area was extremely small and stuffy. The steam room no bigger than a bathroom shower stall. Sauna small. Few sitting areas. Furniture dated. However- you can have champagne delivered to you in the hot tub and that is a nice touch. All the amenities such as robes slippers teas water towels were excellent. Double the size and add a fireplace and it would be perfect.

Expensive but worth every penny! This is a fabulous spa with luxuries galore! My husband enjoyed it as much as I did! This was our third spa at Barnsley. We highly recommend it if you want to splurge!

The spa services are pricey and so we expected more. The massages were fine but they really need to update the common area. Steam room was broken, furniture in hot tob area was old with no chaise seating. The hot tub is small and It's co-ed. I've been so much better facilities for the $$$$

We can't wait to go back to the Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, GA, to take advantage of the full spa. We just visited for a day, but there was no other choice to choose from on TripAdvisor other than the spa. Note: We did not use the spa facility, but we had a great lunch and the grounds are AWESOME! Everyone was extremely friendly.

BFF Annette and I had reflexology late Thursday afternoon. Both masseuses were awesome! The eye masks wafting eucalyptus and lavender, the music of the sea, and the quiet time to luxuriate were perfect. Annette & I have traveled far & wide to spas. Barnsley is our favorite. If you have time, the full body massages and facials are not to be missed

This was a great spa experience. The service was outstanding. It was quiet and peaceful. The surrounding made it easy to relax while the technicians easy tension away from the body. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Visited Barnsley Gardens in late August and although a lot of the flowers were starting to fade, it was still a great visit. Well manicured lawns and paths with each group of flowers and bushes identified. Not only do they have lots of plants and flowers, they have horseback riding, houses to stay in (VERY Expensive per night) and a descendent of the original gardens who sat with us and gave us the history of the whole place. They also have little carts to pick you up at the parking lot. Very enjoyable!

Came up for 2 nights Sun & Mon so my husband could play golf with his group. I treated myself to a spa day...what a treat. I had the Little Treasures package...4 services for 2 hours. I used other facilities, so spent over 3 hours. The facility is small, but intimate. It's not very busy so size didn't matter. The pedicure was wonderful; the facial one of the best; 30 minute massage was good, but abbreviated; the Little Splendors scalp, hand and foot treatment was nothing to write home about. Interesting, but it was done by the only male of all of the treatments. It would have been better to start there so I could work up to the other much better services. I would suggest they just do pedi, facial and hour massage for the price...it never hurts to make suggestions:) probably my new favorite Georgia Spa. Can't wait for the golfers to go back next year so I can book a repeat!

It was great that in about an hour, we were there from Atlanta. The resort and grounds are beautiful. It feels very peaceful and private. I went with two friends for a spa weekend and we rented a cottage. The décor was lovely and the fire pits just outside our door were wonderful. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. My facial at the spa is one of the best I've experienced and the pool area, facing the golf course, is very nice. Unfortunately, there are several opportunities for improvement:1. The cottage states that 4 is the maximum occupancy for the cottage. Actually, it has one king sized bed and a pull out sleeper sofa. Sadly, the mattress was about 3" thick and the coils felt as if they could poke through at any moment. This is not adequate for anyone over the age of 2. The cottage actually is only meant for 2 adults.2. We made reservations at the Rice House to celebrate one of the girls' birthday. The meal was a disappointment as the portions were incredibly small (2 TBSP of Polenta with my Halibut dish) and the prices were very expensive for the quality of the food. They did bring out a gorgeous (and disproportionally large) birthday cake for the 3 of us. It was probably the best part of the meal.3. They add a $20% service charge to everything on the resort, even the food that is served poolside. When I asked about this, they said that about 13% goes to the server as tip and the resort keeps the rest. So, if your server does a good job, better pony up an additional 7% so they will get the standard 20% tip.4. Do not order anything other than drinks at the pool. Everything on the poolside menu is prepared there in the snack shack. We ordered a shrimp cocktail $14 (came out warm), bruschetta $10 (came out cold) and a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri $7 and our total with fees and taxes came out around $42. 5. Around 10 am we called the front desk to ask about check-out time. They said it was 11 and really couldn't do anything about it when we asked for a little bit later check out time. We asked to speak to a manager, who then told us that we could stay until 1 pm.Overall, I enjoyed the property but do not recommend eating anything there. I've been to other resorts and spas and would probably not return here.

We stayed at the resort for Christmas and it was awesome. My wife setup a massage at the spa for me because she's a classy lady. The massage was nice and relaxing, not a lot of small talk, and the music wasn't too cheesy. You know what I'm talking about, when it sounds like Yanni is jammin'.The setup of the spa is okay nothing too crazy or over the top. The steam room and sauna were relaxing. If you're at the resort why not make some time and relax.

The spa was great, just a little disappointed in one of the services. Overall it was a very good experience. We will visit there again.

Great---I highly recommend this place. It was wonderful. My wife feels that this is the best spa she has ever been to.

It does not get any better than this... professional massage therapists in a luxurious setting. My wife thinks she's in heaven when she is on a trip here!
