We went to the Performing Arts Center to hear my son play in Midfest (the middle school band festival). The acoustics were great! The best seats to see everyone on the stage are in the balcony. The only bad thing about the venue is that they tried to cram too many seats in the place, so there is barely any walking room in the aisles. When people wanted to get past us we had to stand up and fold our seat up so they could get by. That is the reason I gave it four stars instead of five.

Good options to catch some world-class artists in Athens, GA. Very appealing for students at the University (read: cheap!). Tickets run out very fast. Book online well in advance.

Venue for a wedding....beautiful setting, other events going on at the same time but no overlap or crowding....staff on hand to help with directions, requests......food was delicious and nicely presented.

No one performs better than UGA music majors. Many of my class mates are music majors, and it's always fun to listen to them in a state-of-the art facility.

I really liked this venue. Plenty of parking and good restaurants nearby. The Theater was very comfortable.

The UGA Performing Arts Center has the best accoustics of any concert hall in the world. I have heard world class performers tell us that from the stage. The calendar of events always includes some of the very best performers in the field of classical and traditional musicians plus other wonderful entertainers. I have had season tickets for the Second Thursday series which features UGA faculty and students but they are absolutely marvelous although the tickets are less expensive. There are also free tickets available for selected faculty performance. Folks in the Athens area feel they are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful cultural venue. I go there at least twice a month, sometimes once/week.

Beautiful hall, so watch for the performance that will appeal to your taste. You won't be disappointed.

the performing hall has some of the best acoustics that I have ever heard. the University does a great job in booking top symphonies for our enjoyment. we try to attend all that we can.

I ca recommend with one word Go and see! UGA has transformed this community and this is one place a must visit in your itinerary when in Athens GA.

I may be a bit biased, since I went to UGA . . . but it's been years since I attended a show there, and I was so impressed with the quality of the venue and, in particular, my seats.We first attended the pre-concert lecture in what I think was called the Ramsey Lecture Hall. We sat along the side in chairs that felt so private -- and they had a great view of the concert grand piano on the stage.Our concert tickets were for the chorus box behind the stage, and we were seated just over the piano -- a perfect seat for a piano teacher and her student! The acoustics are incredible, and even looking at the backs of peoples heads was a pleasure --- the sound alone was worth it.This is an excellent place to visit. We also took a quick tour of the nearby art museum, which is so spacious, professional and full of interesting pieces. I particularly liked the African American painter.

Now that we retired, well at least half of us, we plan to visit and attend more events. We have enjoyed Broadway and much more at the Center. It makes Athens a great place to live and work,..., and retire!

Lovely, huge building with three performance halls and and a huge cultural center that hosts internationally renowned and top quality performances nearly every week. Definitely go check it out if you have the opportunity, there is always something going on.

If you have a chance, go to the UGA Performing Arts Center. Very high quality performances and outstanding acoustics in this center.

The state of the arts in this state of the art venue is beyond fantastic. The UGA Christmas Concert here is a wonderful way to welcome the season. Simply stated, I love it.

Great place to see any of your favorite acts! If you are a student the tickets are ridiculously cheap! And the tickets for visitors are affordable too!
