high falls water park

This is an enjoyable park with trails, swimming, picnicking, and camping. The lake and waterfall is small, but enjoyable. We rented a pavilion for a group activity and was very pleased with it.

My kids loved it here! Ages from 2 to 6.They had a blast! The slides are really fun.. they even got my heart pounding!

I didn't expect much out of this place, due to the reviews I had read and the fact that it only had 2 slides, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. It was a lot of fun and worth the $10 to me. We stayed from 11-2:30 and would have stayed the entire day, if we had not had plans already. This place is definitely small, but it's the way I like it and it was easy for me to keep up with all of my children. The water slides are long and fast and a lot of fun. The pool is small but decent and the pirate area for kids ages 10 and under was a hit with my little ones. The concessions are inexpensive, compared to most places. The items range in price from 25cents to $3.50. Sno-cones are $1 each. The entire area is nice and clean (including bathrooms) and there are many lounge chairs and umbrellas available free of charge. We weren't happy to see that 6 busloads of day cares were there at the same time as us; however, there were still plenty of chairs and tables to use, and the lines moved quickly. The lifeguards seemed very attentive and made me feel comfortable that my children were being carefully watched. Your best chance for getting many rides down the slides (with no line), are to arrive right at opening time!This is a good halfway point for us to meet friends and I plan to buy a family pass next summer!

The parking lot is not safe. Although there are signs warning of high crime ,there is no security out there. The life guards were very harsh with the children. After driving one hour to get there we only stayed thirty minutes . Very small , not worth the money.

Chlorine is chlorine and bleach can either have chlorine or not if you think about the ratio of water to bleach they should have put 15 gallons in the water im sure you wouldn't want to be swimming in a urine pool or with bacteria in the water

We just got back from a day at this slide water park. They had 6 to 7 empty Gallon Bleach bottles that they had poured into the water. When i called and asked why this was so the rude woman said it wasn't bleach and hung up on me. Bleach is a poison and not good for young kids to be swimming in. Trust me i will be calling the locals authorities.

Went there today,for the first time. It's a great place to go with the kids. It's only $10, the food and drinks are reasonable. There are 2 big slides, a pool, and a water play area for smaller kids. Nice lounge chairs everywhere, picnic tables, umbrellas. In all I thought it was very nice. It's not White Water, but than it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. BTW the bathrooms were clean.

Our kids loved the pool & two slides. I'd imagine older teens may be left wanting a little more, but for kids 12 & younger (for sure) they'd love it. It's a great deal to be able to swim & slide all day. The kiddie area is great for ~7yr & under. Best way to enjoy it is to arrive at opening. Then the adults can have a nice spot under an individual shade while watching the kids play. We will definitely be back!

I rented this for my kids birthday party. They close the whole park in the evening for birthday parties. There was only one other party going on at the same time and they were at the top of the park while our party was at the bottom. It could not have been more perfect. The lifeguards were attentive. The facility was clean. We were so pleased and can not wait to visit again!

We decided on a last minute camping get away. This was our 1st time staying at a state park, so we were not sure what to expect. We called in advance and found we could check in after hours with the camp host. We were also told what stores were close by in case we needed them. The Volunteer Camp Host was very pleasant and got us checked in quickly. We had a great time walking, fishing and just relaxing and listening to the near by river. Even though the camping area was almost full, we didn't have any issues with other campers, or noise. The only down side was the fire wood sold was not hard wood, and also green and damp, so was difficult to burn.We had a great weekend and will be returning.

Nothing special. Best for parents with kids age5-12; only two slides a very small pool and a kiddy area. I guess this is for kids who want/need to get out of the house during summertime.

We have been here many times, I think my kids got tired of it, it is a very tiny park, 2 waterslides, that probably need some updating, easy to get scraped on them, the pool they have is very small, just not big enough for all of the people there. I think its ridiculous that you cant take in anything at all, I can go to splash in the boro and take in a small cooler, or bag with drinks or snacks, and no I dont use glass bottles! The bathrooms are dirty also..Its just somewhere to go if you just have nothing else to do I guess, we havent been in a few years.

This place is a great place for some family fun. We go here often and always have a great time. The price is great. They have 2 fun, fast waterslides that everyone loves! The have a kiddie area, a large swimming pool, and a hot tub. The have a concession stand with great food and deals. This place isn't too big so you the adults can relax in a lounge chair while the kids ride the slides! Lots of seating, tables, and umbrellas. Lots of life guards.

The park itself is nice and enjoyable, but the area around the park is not safe. There is not a clear view of the parking lot from inside the park (surrounded by wooden fence). There have been numerous reports of theft from cars in the area. We unfortunately experienced this first hand on our last visit there. The staff did not seem sympathetic, nor were they surprised that it happened. The staff so far has not been cooperative in providing us with a copy of the survelliance tape from the parking area and it has been almost 4 days. Be wary if you visit this location. Take valuables with you.

Went on a perfect day. Not long lines and pretty fun rides. This place is in the middle of nowhere though.
