The Monastery is beautiful, as are the grounds. The staff are knowledgable and helpful. The gift shop contains several great gift ideas as well as pecans grown on site and delicious prickly pear jelly.

What a delightful place for meditation and relaxation. The grounds provide a peaceful place to communicate with nature and there is a lovely chapel for reflection. There are a couple of benches around the koi and duck ponds. A great place for a leisurely stroll and some quiet time.

Truly unique arts and crafts are presented in the vendor area, which is a distance away from the serene, tranquil monastery grounds that include a bird sanctuary, a lake and enormous shade trees. This oasis offers a welcome retreat from an otherwise raucous, frantic world. In addition to food items available from vendor booths, here is a small restaurant offering limited selections. A nominal $2.00 parking fee is charged. The town of St. David was founded by Mormons in about 1880 and is located in Cochise County. The monastery was established in the 1970's and is home to Benedictine Monks. There is also a small convent. Regular church services are held.
