My older siblings used to listen to Marty Robbins music so we new the words to all his songs. I never knew he was a NASCAR driver and didn't know he died at a young age (55). It was only a dollar to walk through and view the history in photos.

If you are a fan of Marty or just like signing cowboys, be sure to visit this museum. They have a very nice brochure.

Good try, but this museum needs a lot of help. One entire wall is dedicated to Marty's funeral, with rather amateurish photos attached to the wall. We admit it was impressive to learn how many well known artists did attend his funeral, and we were not aware of his prowess as a race driver.Attend only if you have lots of time on your hands.

My wife and I accidentally stumbled on the museum 2 years ago (2011-I was forced to chose a date from the drop down list, but we where there in mid-2011) while stopping off in Wilcox to see the Rex Allen Museum. It was a great surprise as it was not listed in the AAA book. Wow, I love Marty's music, especially the Gunfighter Ballads. This is a small museum but packed with memorabilia, posters, just all kinds of stuff. If you liked his music, or even saw him race in NASCAR (a long time ago) and wondered who he was, you need to make a trip to this place. My wife and I were there for well over two hours, just marveling at the variety of items. Be sure to buy something to help support the museum. We plan on going back when we drive that way again - hopefully next year. The fee was only 2 or 3 dollars.

Small, but lots of stuff! I got there right before it closed, but still had plenty of time to see it all.

"The Friends of Marty Robbins Museum" was our destination last Friday. Have always loved his music, and did attend one of his concerts at the Oakland Coliseum when we lived in California. It's just a very small unpretentious museum put together by a true fan of his. It seems she collected all these items through the years, and then found a home for her collection here in Willcox. Entrance is a donation of $1.00. His music plays in the background as you get to wander amid showcases of memorabilia. Nothing fancy, but lots of memories brought back. We signed the Guest Book, and were amazed at how many people, from how many far away places, had visited this Museum.Afterwards, we visited the next door Keeling Schaefer wine tasting room, which is in a lovely restored old bank building, had lunch at the "Big Tex BBQ" (awful!), and wandered about the little town. Stumbled upon the Friends of the Library selling books (50 cents each) and WOW...................we could have spent hours there. Did chance upon some real finds on those shelves. This all made for a lovely outing.

Leven in een vergane periode. Heb je interesse in de periode van 50 tot 100 jaar geleden. Leuk om te bezoeken.
